A lot of ppl forget Johnny is a *TWO TIME CHAMPION*
Imagine a QB making it to 3 Super Bowls, winning 2, and being thought of as a loser because he didn’t win 3.
This show is just too good. When it first came out I put it off until I think it was Season 3 had just aired, thinking it was just gonna be cheap nostalgia cash-in. But it surprisingly had a good story-line, some great fight choreography, and some really great nostalgia cash-in.
In my opinion it does overstay its welcome by at least 2 seasons in the end. I already felt that Season 4 was too much of the same, characters not really growing, and then they left it open for a 5th Season once more.
I would have liked it better as a 3 Season arc.

I binged watched the first 4 seasons then had to wait just a month of 2 for season 5 premiere

100% correct. Well except for an issue I have with a misfortunate cringy part of season 4 episode 9. It felt like a “jump the shark” moment, but the writers are too good and killed it in the next episode. I’ll forgive them for the one mistake

That's true! I had to focus on The Book of Boba Fett for January and February. And then I did Squid Game. I had planned on watching all of Cobra Kai on Patreon before starting to upload it to CZcams, but I am taking time off from creating content for a few weeks, so I felt that I would go ahead and put this series on CZcams. I do plan to watch more Cobra Kai this year though and probably start putting it up on CZcams more regularly, as I react to it, or not too longer after. 😁
Cobra Kai has one of the best writing. You'll definitely love this show

Johnny says "Illegal kick," forgetting that his first point in that match was a kick to the face. I initially didn't give it a chance because I didn't want it ruining my childhood but it's really fricking good.
Though he does make a good point that he paid the price for his illegal move, by losing points, while Daniel won the match with his. They both broke the rules. Only one got punished.
My dad always called me Daniel-son when I was a kid. Watching Cobra Kai is living the best experiences again with my dad. :)

This is one of those shows I didn't think I needed until seeing it. It's far more than just a nostalgia cash grab. Very entertaining. I saw on Patreon you only watched season 1. You will really want to continue. Season 5 is coming out this Sept.
Another example of the role reversal is that originally in Karate Kid, Daniel was the poor kid, while Johny was part of the rich crowd, that Daniel even thought that Alley would choose Johny over him for that very reason. Now Johny is on the poor side, while Daniel is rich.

Super fun show. You should do 2 episodes each post if you have the time. They already have 4 seasons and 5 on the way. I though this was gonna be bad.. but its really good. Maybe a little over the top (in a good way) but so well done. Great characters (new and old), super fun, but also emotional and even dark at certain points. I can't wait for season 5!

Cudos to you Kazzy! I've seen a lot of CZcamsrs react to Cobra Kai and you are the first to recognize Iron Eagle, a classic 80's movie imo and one of my old favorites. I wish people would react to this overlooked gem. When it comes to fighter pilot movies, I like Top Gun, but I love Iron Eagle! 🦅

This might be my favorite show of all time. It only gets better every season.
last week I watched karate kid 1, 2, and 3 for the first time. as a kid i'd seen The Next Karate Kid with the chick a couple times on cable so i was aware of Mr. Miyagi and then of course everything else references Daniel-san and the quotes.
this week i started cobra kai reluctantly and it started very fun, but i'm in season 3 now and can really feel the writing becoming a formula, from the dialogue to the manufactured/convenient drama.
Both are must watch shows. Shadows is hilarious

I shot this reaction last year as I was trying to make more content exclusive for Patreon, to give those subscribers some value. The real magic of this show is how it gives a much more sympathetic view of Johnny WITHOUT cheating and leaning into all the crap about how Daniel is the real villain of the movie.
Your going to get shivers in every episode watched. Perfectly timed flashbacks & callbacks throughout which give the show its strength(nostalgia) enjoy your cobra kai journey.
Only Murders in the building is amazing. A second season for that show is on the way as well.

You've been making the best choices of show reactions lately and movies, as well. You will love Cobra Kai! I'm usually with about 30% of a reactor's options, but yours have been a much higher % lately-so I'm watching just about everything you put out there. I LOVED your love for Hawkeye- which was #2 for me (so far) of the MCU shows. You won big points with me because not enough people loved Hawkeye like us. My order of the MCU Disney + shows is 1. WandaVision 2. Hawkeye 3. Moon Knight 4. Loki 5. What If? 6.Falcon and Winter Soldier. All were great, but I think F/WS were affected most by the COVID rewrites. Looking forward to you doing Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk. Also looking forward to you catching up with the Phase 4 movies. As far as shows- hoping you jump into the fantastic Breaking Bad universe after Cobra Kai- with Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul's pure brilliance. And Ozark, as well. You may want to do This Is Us as well- which no reactor has done- the last great broadcast show in history. ABC, NBC, and CBS FOX are dead when competing for Emmys after tonight's This Is Us finale. You're also such a sweetheart!

Cobra kai is one of those shows I wanted nothing to do with. But when I started to watch it I couldn't stop. I think it does kinda start lacking later on but the seasons all have a few really good episodes

Great show. I was 8 yrs old when the original movie came out in 1984 and was a huge fan of the trilogy. When I heard about CZcams doing this show a few years ago I rolled my eyes because the idea sounded terrible and I figured production would be awful. I did not want to give it a chance and ignored it. Finally this February I accidentally had episode one auto play and watched it and was hooked. I watched all four seasons in about a week. I have also now watched first reactions of the entire series probably 15 times. If you are going to go through them I will sub and watch.

Good reaction, this is excellent sequel series of the Karate Kid trilogy. I recall in the end of first movie, Johnny handed Daniel his trophy and told him he's alright and they seemed to be over their feud. Also, Daniel's daughter did not hit his car, she was in the backseat, it was one of her friends who was driving. I wonder if you also saw The Karate Kid part 3, because it explains more of Daniel's distrust of Cobra Kai and some of the characters from that movie will return in later seasons.

Will smith has little involvement in Cobra Kai though. The only reason his name is in the credits (as an executive producer) is because the company Overbrook Entertainment (which Will Smith founded) bought the rights to Karate Kid for the Remake. Therefore the creators of Cobra Kai had to get Overbrook Entertainment’s permission to make the series, which also means that Will Smith and Co-Founder of Overbrook Entertainment James Lassiter are credited as executive producers.
You mentioned Only Murders in the Building. I watched season 1 when it came out and I loved it. I really hope you take a look at it.

You should do reactions 2 shows at a time. The new season starts September 9th. And honestly so much stuff coming out between now and then, 2 shows at a time would probably be more time efficient for you plus this show is so good that you'll want to push ahead to the next episode.
I run a very small operation, haha, I'm only able to have two episodes edited a week. I won't be able to watch season 5 live unfortunately, but I'll definitely react to this entire series. I am going to start focusing on more Movie Edits for CZcams as they just do WAY better than series do. But I'll be watching every episode of Cobra Kai first for my Patreon, and then it'll make its way to CZcams eventually. Having a CZcams channel is fun, and I've never missed a week posting on CZcams since I started the channel in 2020, but it has definitely been a challenge at times! I'm grateful for every subscriber on CZcams, and I'm grateful for your feedback! Moon Knight is coming soon, followed by Obi Wan Kenobi and The Boys Season 3. After that, I'll probably spend at least one day a week watching as much Cobra Kai as I can until I am caught up with everyone! Maybe 2023 will just be one long year of Cobra Kai on my CZcams channel, alternating between movie reactions, ahahaha.
And by the way, Cobra Kai is my FAVORITE show right now. It is friggin AWESOME 💯💯💯💯💯
