- Long ago, back in medieval times, an evil spirit known as Spooky had terrorized all of Pac-Land. In response to this, the great Wizard Pac created a potion that turned 5 ordinary fruits into the "Golden Fruit." A young knight called Sir Pac-a-lot fought against Spooky and sealed him underneath a large tree using the Golden Fruit, which were attached to the branches of the tree.
In the present time, late at night, Inky, Pinky, Blinky and Clyde sneak into the village and, in their mischief, pick the Golden Fruit off the tree in the center of town. Unfortunately, this releases Spooky from his prison. Spooky tells the ghosts to take the Golden Fruit and follow him if they wish to rid the land of the Pac-people forever. When Pac-Man awakens, he hears the news from Professor Pac about the Golden Fruit and Spooky, and sets off to defeat the ghosts and Spooky

They're amazingly beautiful for its time. Yes, compared to today, it wasn't all too amazing, but, at the time, it was probably a step up.

I remember thinking that in his final cutscene, Spooky says “we will meet again” instead of “my ghosts will free me again” which got me super hyped for a sequel. I also remember playing PMW3 for the first time and having my hopes of a return for Spooky being crushed

Well, as badass as he is, he’s obscure. Only appeared in PMW2. Yeah there was PMWR but that’s a spin-off. I doubt he’ll make it into Smash Ultimate as an assist trophy.
Bowser may have fire and spikes Eggman and Willy may have high IQs and robotic armies but Spooky has PURE RAW POWER and a roar and look of hatred and evil

Yeah he's in smash but has a few or if none of his worldly moves. No butt bounce or rev roll. He has flip kick but that might be about it.

Yeah I always loved that all the other ghosts just seemed to fall down with their machines but he just got launched out of it like a cannon lol 😂 must have had an ejection button built in just in case because they were above lava after all.

1 - A ghost that impersonates pac-man that turns good 5 years later..
2 - A ancient powerful ghost that's been trapped under a tree.
3 - A "smart" gadget maker that hates yellow.

This is probably the best plot, levels, and Main Antagonist in all of the Pac Man universe.
1's game play is okay, but the plot isn't near the same level.
3's story is sub par for most stories and game play is not that good for games in general.
Namco should take note from this game.
+The Green Dragon 53 3 is still miles better compared to Ghostly Adventures IMO.

Part of it is because the ramp your supposed to get off of to get to each side is a little messed up, in which when reving up, don't hold a direction when reving, let it go and you "Should" be able to get to the other side. Also, his body is hard, so you have to butt bounce the glass.
Also, If you miss it, maybe let sony know via the PS2PS4#, so that they may one day add this to the PSN for PS4 (With Upscale capabilities)

I never got to the final boss as a kid (was too tough for me). Game released in 2002 and I’ve only now seen the ending in 2019. 😢

The one thing I never understood is Pinky's love obsession for Pac-Man. Was this already established in the other Pac-Man games before the "World" series? I must know, or my curiosity will kill me.

Kyle Mangan okay the cutscene are actually brilliant. absolutely brilliant. ib the original game, Blinky would chase Pacman directly, Pinky would try to ambush him, and Clyde would run away. the way they translates that into the personalities seen in the first cutscene, with Pinky creeping around, was lovely.
I see, well thanks for that insight, I'm just saying it feels random to me. Maybe I'm just thinking too deeply about a game that's supposed to be a comical adventure, and not take it seriously at all.

Trey Muller That's true. Don't know why Namco confused Blinky with Clyde in the Pac Man world series.
MrEnder Man I think it's because their names and personalities were swapped in the Hanna-Barbera cartoon (Clyde is the leader, while Blinky is the dumb one). It's also an issue in other games, like Pac-Land, Pac-Mania, and Pac-Man Arrangement. Namco probably wanted to connect the show with the games, but I'm glad it wasn't a permanent thing.

Japan had voice acting for the gameplay cutscenes. At least for the ghosts. The American version unfortunately did not get this treatment.

Also, is it just me or did Clyde break the fourth wall and admitted that he was harder than Spooky ( Clyde was a pain to get passed when I first played this).
Lol I personally think he is harder than Spooky I mean now as an adult none of them are hard I have played the game at least a million times in my life but as a kid when the game was still hard that boss had me biting my controller and raging. Spooky was hard but definitely nowhere near as hard as Clyde lol I had met people’s who gave up on the game cus they couldn’t get past him lol

He does somewhat talk here, but it's merely just dialogue boxes.
He does make a grunt when taking damage, though (which is reused in World 3).
Its even weirder in the Japanese version, where everyone but Pac-Man are voiced.
It's a shame though when World 3 was never localized for Japan nor released in it, it might have something to do with World 3 being developed during the timepoint when Namco merged with Bandai, causing many projects to get cancelled.

Chomp chomps design bothered me here from his original Pac-Man world design. I think the original is still my favorite but I love that you could walk around Pac Village was is Ms. Pac-Man in the game other than a picture on Pac Man’s wall? You don’t see her or baby pac (or even friend Pooka) at the end.
Fun fact: I played Pacman World Rally before this and Spooky just became my favourite after playing this.

According to when talking to the worker in front of the museum, everything in it is broken at the start of the game, meaning that Inky was launched into the museum. But still, game logic that it didn't wake up anyone.

I remember playing this game at the Whittier YMCA.
At the age of 5, this is my theory of how the ghosts became of how they are in the game: the ghosts were playing with the fruit and never knew that if you pull all the fruit off the tree, Spooky would be free. But they never knew about Spooky, but this is a theory k? Then after Spooky blabbed about The Golden Fruit and how it had imprisoned Spooky. Then Spooky convinced the 4 ghosts too t33m up and spoil The Golden Fruit so he could be free for all eternity and try their best to stop Pac-Man is ever he shall try and retrieve the golden fruit and get rid of it forever. But that failed and Pac-Man won obviously.
The moral: Evil never wins and you shouldn't be evil
