- We're back for another fan requested video in rFactor and this time the suggestion was to run Modifieds at Grandview Speedway. This track is one of the best realised ones that Dirt Works Designs have ever created in my opinion and it made for some of the best racing I've ever enjoyed in rFactor.

I love Grandview! It's my home track, racing is excellent every week! Only thing, they don't run these style of modifieds there. They run PA small block modifieds. Regardless great video, I love it! 👍🏻

hobbo88 not your bad at all. It was cool to see a different style of modified on the track! You just don't see them in eastern PA. You should check out some videos from Grandview here on CZcams! GSPvideos does highlights every week. Side question, do you attend V8 modified races?
We have V8 Dirt Modifieds here in Australia. It where the likes of Peter Britton came from before heading over to race with you guys. They aren't near as popular here but I've been to see them a couple of times
if you want a quicksteer feel with the wheel. i run 290 degrees rotation for g27 on profiler. and 30 degree steering lock in the setup sheet

what do you use to record? I'm using obs but having nothing but issues and fraps drops the framerate to 12 :(
I use OBS as well. Can be pretty challenging to get all the settings right with recording software :)
yeah I'm feeling that pain lol.... You could do a video with your setting ;)
I'm going to do some how to videos on different things at some point but won't be showing my OBS settings ;) every youtubers best kept secret is their capture settings

Far be it from me to tell you how to drive a race car, but I noticed how loose the car was on exit of the corners. A lot of that comes from this version of Grandview being rather slick, but also may be due to the 2 link rear end and likely more so the rather short gearing. Seemed to me like you were spinning up the tires a good bit, perhaps up to half the straights at times. Might be something to keep in mind with all DWD cars and tracks.
Always open to suggestions :) I'd certainly be more concerned about getting the most out of the car if I were racing competitively but for races against the AI it's all just for fun. You've got a keen eye for the car and it's behaviours though to notice all that just from watching my video! Would make a good crew chief ;)
I'm not sure anyone wants me crew chiefing for them. Lol.
you should do a whole race event man tht would be cool unless you'd rather not no big deal
I don't know if you. An do a full event against AI in rfactor. Would be cool though :)

I think imca is an available class package but can't remember off the top of my head

Big Block Modifieds sound is messed up, very staticaly and turning off and on alot .

I often use chase can in arcade games and console games but when using a wheel I can't do it at all
they just had a couple races there with 305s and then the following week with 410s

How do you get the camera to move as you steer?
In the settings somewhere in rfactor you can set head movement or look ahead option I think it's called. If I remember I'll show it in my next video :)

Game is called rFactor, it's available on steam. The game itself has little to no content in it and is terrible. However you can mod in cars and track like Dirt track racing which is why it's good. These cars and tracks came from dirtworksdesigns.com

A racing wheel is the only way to go I think. People claim to be able to use gamepads but I've tried and it's hard!
I plan to do some instructional videos in the future but I've just been too busy and never seem to get time to do them lol

Dumb question...I am new to rFactor and mine looks nothing like yours...
The Dirtworksdesigns mods have a custom interface. When you launch rfactor with one of their mods selected it will boot up with the different UI
