10 days post op diastasis repair, not a full tummy tuck. I had no hernia. All these vids say "so much pain" and "tightness" I felt no tightness, very little pain. I refused to take pain killers. I am shocked at how easy this is. Just wanted to say this, not everyone is on pain. I had no drains to deal with post op. I did not stay in the hospital after surgery, I was sent home that day.

Sorry, what was the procedure that you do and you allow them to stay a few days after without extra cost?
If a procedure comes with a Medicare item number attached and is deemed medically necessary patients who are in a private health fund that covers these item numbers will have their hospital costs covered. They will be able to stay in hospital as long as needed for recovery.
What kind of stitch is done on the surgery?
All stitches are absorbable. I use what is called V-Loc stitches. These have small barbs that help keep the wound closed.

Is there something you can add to the scar to promote faster healing after the 8 th week of tt ?
In our clinic we use silicone strips to help with the scar - this can only be applied after fully healed which is generally around 4-6 weeks.

Can an ice pack be applied to mom’s swelling and thigh?
Hi Darlene, We would avoid placing any form of ice (or heat) on this area as surgery can cause numbness and patients can not feel the temperature of the pack - if this is too cold or too hot it can cause a burn.
Does a tummy tuck affect your breathing?
Hi Paul, it can make you feel a little tight however this will settle with time. It is best to speak with your surgeon if you are having any concerns.
Day two postoperative so tight and uncomfortable
The first week or so tends to be the most uncomfortable. It is always best to talk with your surgeon about any concerns you are having.
