It's a big paradox in self-improvement: when you are over-attached, you're results are worse, not better! Sometimes the secret to getting what you want in life.... stop caring! This video, I'm sharing with you the powerful lesson of detachment. Detachment is the key to unlocking the true power that lies within you.
Detachment is the key to unlocking the power that lies dormant inside you. This lesson is so important, and I believe it can change your life for the better. If you're ready to let go of the past and focus on the future, then watch this video and learn the power of detachment!

Also - we deep dive into this topic for two weeks in our coaching program. Here's a free BTS look at how it might change your life by shifting your identity in under 10 weeks www.clarkkegley.com/free-case-study?sl=yt-detach
I really need help in detaching
Ppl hurt me all the time ..I love hard but I always get my heart broken..so what do I do
bro write about islam.
Interesting re the paradox. I found i'm unable to stop caring. I do not equate detachment to caring less. The change rather is an absolute acceptance of the utter futility of caring. I can still deeply care, just detour my energies to places where I make a difference. It kinda hurts to stop caring, life is bleak enough.
Detach and you remain alone or find only worse women.
Attachment to an outcome blinds you to other possibilities that may be better for you or the situation. Great video, Clark!
You may practice doing attachment and detachment at the same time
1. Attachment, by action, intention, inner dream, plan, passion, creativity
2. combined with a detachment of emotions
You are attached by your intentions, but detached about when and where it should happen.
Not trying to predict every move.
Otherwise you would act like a robot.
Then you experience oneness, wholeness, and balance. Oneness is the opposite of dualism and polarism.
Robots and artificial intelligence never experience oneness, because robots still work without a break, and conscious thinking.
💯
And soemtimes theres NOTHING good at all that’s why you attach
I detached and looked for another possibilities and found only crap.
“You don’t have to wait for things not to be hard to decide to be happy..” Said by a woman with cancer.
Focusing on gratitude and joy of the moment rather than attachment is the key to peace. GREAT VIDEO!
Night birde on AGT
Bullshit
I love this. My key take away. The more we chase someone or something is the more we get attached and sometimes even lose it. Learn to let things flow. What's meant to be is meant to be. Otherwise, learn to let it go
what does it mean by letting go? the work I'm doing for that goal or the outcoms/planning?
Amen to that
Easier said than done, but it's an absolute must.
'it takes less effort to be your true self than to put on a mask and behave a certain way' - this line really hit me hard
But what he forgets to say is that people who put on masks and facades seem to benefit better in life with opportunities which is why it's so prevalent in society
Be true self and you remain alone.
*CLARK KEGLEY - THE BEST SELF IMPROVEMENT CZcamsR*
I love him!
Wha..... What about Hamza?
@@U.V.247 he's for ya'll kids...some of his information can be misleading too...third he expresses his own views and what he thinks of certain things and what he will do in those certain situations but he don't really teach you how to be you he teach ya'll how to be him...but do you really wanna be somebody else or you wanna walk in your own shoes? And also he does feels himself only a few people may see that his pride and ego is over the top...he's not a bad guy I do agree with some of the things he says...I've seen a video of him mocking another CZcamsr's working out routine in a bad way it wasn't even right at all its not Sneako by the way the guy is white.
Amen
There's others but he's good to
I messed up this one potential relationship due to my attachment and abandonment issues. But I am glad now I know which parts I need to heal.
Same
Same girl happened to me 2 days ago, he was giving love ❤️ but I realized I need more then love. I love myself but did not feel emotional support from the partner. Love is great but you need emotional support more than love.
You don’t mess up a real thing. If it’s so fragile because you’re struggling and not perfect it’s just weak and not worth it and I promise you the other person was not even committed
Detachment is possible the moment we are aware of our shame and self concept and family unconscious patterns. Thanks, dude
In Buddhism, desire and ignorance lie at the root of suffering. By desire, Buddhists refer to craving pleasure, material goods, and immortality, all of which are wants that can never be satisfied. As a result, desiring them can only bring suffering. Because desire can involve a wide range of negative emotions, suffering is almost self-evident. Desire can put you in a constant state of anxiety about the desired thing and then lead to frustration if it's not fulfilled.
The phone analogy is great. I've heard some actors talk about maintaining "fuck-you" jobs until they make it big. The idea being that when they go into auditions they know they have their back up job so the stakes of landing the audition don't seem as high and effectively gives them confidence. Which makes it easier to let go.
This is the perfect response to the "you gotta have no plan B to MAKE IT" mantra
Well and even better is practicing empathy helping friends with little things,
and then get more opportunities.
I mean the friends may start the business together or support each other.
RAther than depend on some stranger.
Most women you met in your life are pretty much crap, so there is a reason why losing a valuable woman is a huge loss.
WELL, IN REAL LIFE IS DIFFERENT WHEN YOU GET A CRUSH WITH A GUY AND TRY TO LET IT GO, BUT EVERY TIME YOUR MIND IS THINKING OF HIM, YOU FEEL YOUR HEART PAINS LIKE A HEART ATTACK AND A PANIC ATTACK.. APPEARS
Thanks for this video. I do believe in the fact that we need to let go of things that no longer serve a significant purpose in our lives.
This is hands down one of the most important videos I’ve ever watched in terms of self improvement. And I’ve watched a whole lot. Thank you
Your videos arrive at just the right time, Clark. Thank you
I can personally attest that indifference and detachment are one of the most underestimated and overlooked traits that helped me achieve what I wanted to :)
Any shit will know its place once you treat them with indifference.
You achieved nothing.
Constant and ongoing pressure leads to unhappiness, burnout and getting sick. Excellent and important topic Clark👍
I definitely messed up my last relationship by how attached I was, and my abandonment stuff that came with the surface. Still getting over the heartbreak. Hard to not attach to what could have been if I had let go and let it flow.
That’s so funny that you mention your struggle with CZcams metrics at the beginning of your journey, because you are one of my favorite CZcamsrs who I now come to watch just for his/her presence, information & entertainment is a second thing. So thank you for YOU, Clark ❤
Thanks so much Clark! You have been a strong influence for so many years. Doesnt matter where in life there is always a video of you showing how amazing we can be and actually are! People like you make me possible to believe in becoming my best version no matter what. Thanks!!
This is probably one of the best video I watched on CZcams and I'm not even joking. This is a true self help content.
The most important speech started after the 5th minutes as he started to talk about the self-confidence and its reflection on the human being
Love the videos on detachment. It is 100% the biggest thing I'm struggling with, but I've gotten a lot better at it these past months.
But you are still alone.
I am grateful for this video so much watched it twice to let it sink then journaled for an hour and those worries and thoughts that were bothering me for weeks just vanished
Certain videos of yours always makes it into my life at the right moment I need to hear your message(s). Always when you let go and know it unfolds perfectly.
Dude this video hit home for me. I get nervous in presentations at school, meetings at work, and I just possibly botched the chance at what I thought was my dream girl. Definitely wish I would've heard this sooner.
Letting go of attachment can be hard. Why we crave change, to be somewhere else and obsess over things, is because it is uncomfortable where we are right now. To not have that relationships makes us more aware of our inadequacies or maybe our lack of self love, to not have that success, might leave you more aware and present with the pain of your low self-worth that you lived your life trying to escape. Our natural state is peaceful, joyful, and not in need of something to feel amazing, that's just who we are, we are designed to be detached and it's the most simple thing. So why are we not there right now, in that letting go state? Why are we stuck in this complicated state of obsessing? Well... being in a state of letting go is being in a state of feeling like "you have it" already. But when you feel like "you have it" what does that mean? You feel whole and complete within yourself, you feel like you're good enough, you are loved, that you are connected to your heart and true self. This is when you let go of the endless game of looking for some external thing to convince yourself that you are loved, worthy and all things you currently believe you lack.
societal pressure
Really mind blowing. Hopefully we can apply this teachings in our society
The way you put letting go makes so much sense. Thank you for putting in terms that align with Neville Goddard's teaching.
That’s a great thing to strive for but we still live in a traumatic reality so we will probably continue to seek things outside of ourselves
Amazing ❤
I just really wanted to give you a wholehearted thanks for both this, and the follow-up video you link us to in the end. Thanks to them both, I had what was truly a lightbulb moment in my head, in which I realized just how much I've been holding onto negative scripts within my own mind, and making them my life story, thinking that those scripts are the only way I can ever be...are the core of who I am. Yet nowhere, anywhere, is it written in stone that that's who I need to be...that those scripts can't change, when they absolutely can. I don't have to hold on to these scripts as the core identity of who I am. And then, by changing the scripts, I can change my life for the better. This video and the one you link us to in the end, outlining the technique, are exactly my way of how to do change those scripts. Thank you so much for this, Clark! It's not often I have a truly lightbulb, life changing moment through a CZcams video, but I certainly have here! For that, I honestly can't thank you enough!
Lol
Thanks Clark for making this video, much needed ❤❤❤
Hands down the best video on CZcams just changed my whole perspective on relationships
There is no real paradox here. Caring too much only comes into play when it adversely affects your performance and/or the performance of others. There is nothing paradoxical about this because caring too much really just means putting too much pressure on yourself and/or others -- in other words, putting more pressure than is required. It doesn't seem to be a magic formula to success to stop caring altogether. Everything requires a certain amount of care and pressure in order to be achieved. The trick is in finding and applying just that right amount -- no more, no less.
These are great advices. Thank you so much Clark. I really appreciate and grateful. 🙏🙏🙏
I usually watch multiple videos, on the same subjects, done by different coaches. I find several of yours to be the easiest to understand. I'm glad that you didn't give up You Tubing. Thanks!
I have so much self-love I'm not attached to anything! Single for 6 yrs running lol
Just what i needed right now. Thanks a lot🙏🙏
The bird of paradise lands only on the hand that does not grasp.
Loved it!
Thank you...most difficult thing to do in some cases. One tries to let go, but it's so hard in some cases to do in your head...even if in action you have been able to do. Sometimes in some cases it's easier to do, in other cases, ufff really hard. There's always one thing that makes it hard to detach.
I never really looked at the scale of caring… this really breaks down what I was doing wrong.. thank you..
APPRECIATE ALL YOUR WORK BRO
What a great channel to stumble upon! From one creator to another great work!
Great video! Thank you for your great work, keep it up!
I wasn't into your videos at first, because I was fed up with youtubers that just wanted the views and didn't know if you were one of them. Then I realized your videos were often prompted to me about subjects that I care about and want to learn more about. And then, after watching a few of your videos, you've become one of my all time favorite inspirational guy ever. Thank you for existing.
You have all the wisdom of spirituality. All the best for your future. Namaste 😊💫
you help me so much Clark!! Hugs from Brazil, you're the man
I have just come across this video coincidentally and you can't imagine how thankful and grateful I am now 🙏❤️
Love and appreciation from Egypt ❤
Given this title, I want to thank you for getting me hooked on Michael Singer´s books this year. Thank you for all this, Clark!
Great, great content Clark.Thank you
Greatly put together.
Love a good metaphor and you nailed detachment / letting go with your phone over the edge example 👍
This - is - brilliant! Thank you for the great advice.
One thing that really stuck out to me is when you said about you don't know a person in 2hours and that is so true. if I don't get a vibe from someone I usually ignore them with out giving a chance.
Great insight and advice. Thank you Clark.
Perfect timing 🙌🏼😘
Nice work Guy! Creative approach. I'm not young, the bod gets tired, the heart gets tired. Letting go is easier cuz holding on is too darn exhausting. The intense holding on in youth was driven by deprivation. Comments re happiness are interesting. In youth i grappled with suicidal depression. Found great therapy and reasons to live (the arts) But continued to be haunted by dark fatalistic moods. After quitting drinking i recognized those moods were flashblacks. What an epiphany! Required different handling, and cleared the way for actual happiness, the ability to take pleasure in little things. Even when working through tragedies
Finally, someone put it in a way i can easily understand ❤
Love your videos. Thanks Clark
So meaningful. Thank you!
The best one yet! Thank you man❤
This really helped me hearing this...thanks Clark!
Excellent advice. I’m always working on the last two. Business/happiness 🙏
Attachment to an outcome blinds you to other possibilities that may be better for you or the situation. Great video, Clark!
My key take away. The more we chase someone or something is the more we get attached and sometimes even lose it. Learn to let things flow. What's meant to be is meant to be. Otherwise, learn to let it go
Great advice, needed it.

I am grateful for all the blessings & protection from the Universe!
I DETACH from anything that weight me down, take away my peace, happiness or under my value.
I come back to my zen garden (my soul) to practice meditation, tea meditation, be silence, self-care, “create my own sunshine”, live in the PRESENT MOMENT with life purpose, dance with the universe, cultivating a grateful heart & peaceful mind to find true happiness & inner peace.
Thankyou Clark for uploading this amazing content and making my life clearer and easier..very grateful for it
You're still living with your mom, aren't you?
one of the best videos on detachment 🙏
Great delivery!
Love this 👍. Thanks man 🙏
Great video 🙌🏽
This happened to me recently I had a few potential project partnerships go wrong and I started to detach and got an opportunity so much bigger and better
Eventually, we realize that we become attached to detachment and the only thing to do is surrender all concepts. The most impactful surrender, is the concept of “self” of who and what is doing the attaching and detaching.
Bro your content is amazing🙌
This came in the time when I needed it. Thank you Universe ❤
Great point !!
Thanks a million for talking about this particular aspect of life and the human mind. This was very helpful and extremely relatable. Please post more such content!
Im always skeptical with these kinds of channels with their own business, but I've seen a few of this guys videos and I agree with a lot of what he says and what I've read self-help wise in my own time. This is great free content
Tbf CZcams is really in and out of consistent earnings. So creating a business is the best thing a lot of people can do

Since yesterday i decided to take a detachment journey with money. I’ve gotten so exhausted constantly thinking about it, trying to be perfect with my money moves. Simply just do my best and let go of all the negative perfectionist
wow this video is mad dope thank you so much great topics great content great examplesss so much realization
you just created a video for me 😢 thank you bro!
Wow, i get it now, to do anything, i still need too set out a goal somehow, but be playful and light at the same time. It's about being consistent, in the journey, not the end results.
Thank you!
thank you Clark Kent
I couldn’t imagine making videos like this constantly
