Looks like an amazing train with some tricky mechanics! In future videos I’d love to see more on how you came up with the ascetic choices: techniques, decisions, etc. Keep building!

how did you gear 1:1? what pieces did you use?
It's two stages of 12 tooth to 12 tooth gears. If you look at 2:16, 5:22 and 7:56 you can see the placement of all said gears. You can also take a look at the instructions on Rebrickable.
