- This video is my Resident Evil 4 Remake professional S+ rank guide. This run is from a new game save, uses no glitches, no bonus items and is easy to follow. I'll also share tips you can use to get through the game faster than me. Completing this run alongside me will earn you the peerless agent achievement for which you have to beat the game on professional mode and the S+ rank achievement/trophy for which you will have beat the game on hardcore mode or higher with an S+ rank. To achieve a S+ rank on Professional mode you'll have to beat the game in under 5 hours and 30 minutes whilst only saving 15 times.

I've been following your guides for RE2 - RE3 and now RE4, they're always so great to follow and all your tips and tricks have been helping a lot during these runs, especially love your commentary throughout all the long gameplay, so thank you so much for doing that!
my favorite sort of speedrun, glitchless, calm, explaining.
Thanks IFreeMz for easing me through another RE game with all 'Da Stuff'. Your delivery, cadence, tone, encouragement and style are all superlative. You are much appreciated Dude🙏🏼
Holy fuck, chapters 5 and 6 are brutal..
Your guides are always really comprehensive man! you really helped me out with a couple of parts I was struggling with for the S+. Great video mate! 👍
I was really waiting for your guide! I'm sure it'll be as useful as always. Good job mate!
Thank you! Your guides are always super helpful
Great guide! I might try it out myself later👏
Btw I love that you spent a few more seconds to thank the wolf. Really sweet!
Dude just found you today and love the guide. The way you talk through parts say what you missed or could have done better is awesome. Just a comment for the chapter 7 (i think) that wheel where you lower 2 sets of stairs you can do with 2-3 flash grenades and no other ammo (till Ashley is up on catwalk).
You probably know but didn't mention it that l saw.
Keep up the awesome work
Man thank you so much for this guide. I just finished my s+ professional run about an hour ago. When I started it I had no faith in myself because I had struggled with professional on ng+. But your guide was both encouraging for me and helped me pull it off. I finished at 4 hours and 48 minutes just by following your guide and noting your paths or changing my path based off of things going horribly wrong for you. You are awesome for this and have definitely earned my sub.
Between this video and your no hit/no save run I was able to accomplish this! Thank you so much for all the help.
Thank you for this vid I'm still doing hardcore and couldn't even get past the first enemy. You've already helped a ton.
Trying to learn all these strategies. Thanks for all the vids. Brilliant commentary young fella. I'm an old gamer from the first generation of PlayStation many, many years ago
I like listening to your voice and watching your videos as I find them helpful and relaxing.
Man THANK YOU for youre efforts
One little tip I can give to others. Don't be afraid to take a break and continue the next day. I found myself where if I play too long at once I tend to make stupid mistakes. My s+ run time was 5 hours 7 mins and it took me 3 days to finish lol.
I plan to take breathers, and extra alternative save files, as so far, I'm fucking up in parts.
This is the second time I’ve watched this; have watched some of your others, too. I’m a senior 😁 female on PS5. None of my friends get why I love gaming, but I’m not ever going to get THAT old. Really enjoy your vids. Wanted to say thanks for the tip about shooting the trap to set the dog free-always bothered me to leave him there. Also appreciate the education on glitches (more so in the other video). More people need to get that. I’d rather see a true guide though, and I appreciate yours. Thanks again. Subscribed. ❤️
I used your trick when beating Bella sisters, very helpful
Great guide thanks. The minecart section made me give up my professional run-you need elite aim skills using a controller 😂
6:38 that’s so cool they’re just sitting down chilling in their house, never seen that before
Thanks!
Huey (the canine) is a good boy!
I really don’t like skips and sure they can be fun for people who do that stuff. But it’s not impressive to me at all. Skips and glitches are just break the game and considering a lot of the game can be played so many ways already to get these achievements, (using bonus items/knight armor etc.) it just makes the game easier and inflates high scores unnecessarily. So I appreciate this guide. Probably the best one and I’ve looked for quite a few. You’re not going for a perfect run and you just give good strategies.
First time I did water hall, I limped away with no health and almost no ammo lol
Boy that was a long old speed run rant and the guide went for a Burton during it
Quick tip for the clock tower pull the ball drop lever then quickly pull the lift lever and the ball will take out the first red zealot
j'adore ce jeu
In the double garador room with Chicago sweeper you start shooting the druids to get them out then start shooting one of the garadors ro get it’s attention to come down to you, keep shooting and use the table as a guard, took me 1 minute
In chapter 2 if you use your gun near the well it will activate chainsaw dude, try shooting down the treasures from a distance.
a tip for those who wanna save bullets on the bella sisters' fight: flashbangs+knife, that prompt stab has a 40x multiplier of the knife's damage on the chainsaw enemies, basically you need 2 of that stabs in each chainsaw lady to kill them
in the chapter 2 the chainsaw guy near mendez's house can be stabbed when he steps on the beartraps, i never use a single bullet on him, just need to lure him onto beartraps and stab him twice
EDIT: just so you can see that huge multiplier, try using krauser's knife fully upgraded on a chainsaw enemy... its a hit-kill... all you need is a beartrap or a flashbang
You can run through waterfall and use Flash Bangs to get through the first 3 sections
This video better be good
Can you use the dlc items, exclusive upgrade tickets and such to help get the S+ rank, or do they disqualify the run?
This is amazing walkthrough, can u do a pro run with collecting everything, taking your time, exploring ect? Would be highly appreciated, not into speedruns !
Do you know if the DLC sporty sunglasses allow you to get S+? I know they’re a special item because you don’t get flashed
Yes. You can get S+ with any costume additions or DLC weapons. Only restriction is Handcannon-no bonus weapons. But, you probably know this by now.
Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but in chapter 2 the dynamite villagers actually blew up the bridge as I was running across...instantly died
Hi sorry noob question: at 18:17 you mention to save at the beginning of every chapter, I thought that saves were only meant to be done at typewriters?
the game prompts you to save every chapter ending... and there's 16 chapters then 1 save for each ending means exact 15 saves
So if I die an the quit to the main menu screen, can I just click on continue game from the main menu screen, an the timer will go back to where I'm continuing from?
what i struggle with is , do i need to loot all the treasures that i know of or whatever is in my way is enough?
For anyone watching this in the future, the throne room chickens DO LAY EGGS. It's just random chance how long you have to wait. I waited for like 6 minutes.
Facts, i got like 3 after only like 10-15 minutes lol
Wait? So if you load your game from the YOU ARE DEAD screen, not continue, but load game, the time is still added on? You absolutely have to quit to the main menu?
I've been playing the beginning of chaper 5 for several days and virtually everytime I wait for Ashley to come through the door I get the villager instead. If I shoot him this draws the brute along with 2 or 3 other villagers into the house. I'm lucky if I've made it to the cabin twice in 30+ attempts, I've even had Ashley killed by the cow as I run towards the bridge, the RNG in this game is beyond belief 💩
On a PC, you do you look behind you when running forward?
Yes, he does. It can be done on console as well. He talks about this, I think, in the shorter speedrun video, at the beginning going into the house prior to the village square.
@@CherylTheWaysideStitcher Do you know what key to hit on a keyboard? Thx
Ive been following this run but im 30 minutes behind and i think i wont be able to get S+ or even S at this rate
Not saving before the del lago fight is scary.
My s+ rank I carefully placed my saves where I found would cause me trouble .. I ended up placing my first save just when you get to the first merchant in chapter 2 before the whole dynamite chaos mainly because rng is bad lol. And prefer not redo the village fight again. And my final save was just before saddler fight. So I still carefully placed my saves but I didn't do exactly like this but still only had the 15 save limit. Just as long as you use them sparingly and not end up too much to do at once towards the final stretch.
@@jenniferhill2123 that is a really awesome and helpful reply thank you!
The completion achievements/trophies do not stack..so getting an S+ on professional does not also unlock s+ in standard and hardcore difficulty. New game plus with infinite magnum/rocket launcher makes getting the A rank for weapon very easy
A bit late to the party but in case anyone else is late here and read this.
This is not correct, if you get S+ on professional you get the unlocks for lower difficulties too.
This is not the case for any other difficulties though, only on professional.
When I have to save during this playthrough?
at the end of every chapter...
Can someone tell me where he save? Cause i dont understand where i can save… im in the chapter 6 with 5 saves
at the end of every chapter...
There's one thing I don't get about speedruns, and I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, in fact probably my question will sound dumb to many, but I'm not much into gaming "comunities" in genral... I play by myself and only for my self enjoyment, I mostly follows update on release of games I'm intrested in, and when I need I looks for guides like this (which btw I was very looking forward to, your guides were instrumental into my getting S+ in re2 and re3 remake) but regardless, I digress... It's really just a cruriosity... the thing is: why is there a group of people who makes decisions about whose speedrun is valid and whose isn't? At the end of the day we are all dudes who play a certain videogame (unless I guess is the people who actually create the game?), so why is some "dude-who-plays-resident-evil" entitled to tell another "dude-who-plays-resident-evil" wheter its run is valid or not? and vice-versa why would I need/want some other player's approval?
It mostly just comes down to the different groupings of speedrun categories so they can have world records. REs always been known to have a lot of categories; any%, knife only, no damage etc.
How can I get an s+ on new game + everything else says it has to be a new game.
You can’t bro. For S+ you have to start a new pro game. I’ve been trying to do it for weeks and keep failing. 😭
Dude, I like your video and I dont want to be bitchy about this, but there is ALWAYS a rant about speed runs, and a long one. No offence man, but it is tiring.
