I have watched some of the episodes in this series mostly with disbelief, irritation and embarrassment for the representatives of U.K. expats. I’m certain my comments will not sit well with many but we’re all entitled to our own opinions.I know some are working hard to make a living in Benidorm and the Costas and I’m all for the Brits who have set up rescue centres for the animals and other charities but as for the rest- it just makes me feel that they have lowered the whole tone of the Spanish east coast ! So few have absorbed themselves into the culture of the place and instead, have set up a little England with no or little respect for the traditions or Spanish citizens themselves. It’s brassy,tacky and a bolt hole for turning lobster red,a cheap booze up with basic English food in questionable cafes and restaurants,and dreadful amateur entertainment. Those who have taken up residency in the enormous caravan and mobile home sites only mix with their own making no effort at all to learn the language,whizzing around dangerously on mobility scooters and I think it’s insulting to be honest.It’s no wonder the Spanish want to rid themselves of this kind of tourism!
Did they run all the Spanish people out of town? Do they employ the Spanish? Do they try to learn the language or any culture? Is it more just taking over a country for your own self indulgence?
I have a problem with the likes of Holly (who's no doubt a lovely person) who strikes up spirituality work shops mainly because it's profitable. It's a bit shallow and gives real spiritual healers a bad name. You could do what she's teaching at home without paying a cent. It just gives off a sense of superficiality with no real substance to it, which is a shame.
why are they overplaying i am guessing the life is not like that at all when there’s no camera on they think they live the life but in reality they cant afford to live there long and they are not the brightest brains who moved there 🤣🤣🤣🤣
