    Methinks Tad used his miner's redundancy money from Thatcher [the most generous redundancy payments in British industrial history] to open his first bar in Benidorm. Some of them bought bars in Devon and Cornwall. It's so sad to see British people living in tent towns/refugee camps and desperate to save every penny they can in the constant hunt for cheap drinks. What an awful way to live.

    Serious question, how are all these bargain Brits doing now after Brexit? They’ll need to pay for visas/permits surely to live there now and pay for all their medical care in EU whereas before we had that medical card 🤔

    • @djfearross4144
      @djfearross4144 Před 4 měsíci

      The UK still has it's own medical card in place which is a reciprocal agreement. More EU citizens live in the UK, so it has never been beneficial for the UK anyway. Visas are required for stays for than 3 months, and even then you had to register in Spain. Those Brits could've applied for permanent residence.

      They had to either find 25000 a yr for every yr till yr 5 each for a NLV or have a job. The 90/180 rule put a stop to all this thank god. And private medical insurance has to be bought before you go. Its really hard to come live here, or stay now.
