Wow this game underwent massive changes throughout development. I almost like the freeform highway rather than the lanes personally but I can see how that'd make things harder to play.
As a game designer, I look at this teaser and the resulting game, and I see designers doing what they should. Allowing the player to move more freely like this would take away from a lot of the tension; it would feel as if you could evade an obstacle by dodging it, whereas in the final game you have to face it head-on. I would love to play a game that sticks with this more free-moving concept, though. It would probably have to have an atmosphere that somewhat differs from horror though, as this function makes you feel less "restrained."
Been following you guys since I saw this video. Really excited for the game and even now more than one year later I'm still waiting for it's release. Keep up the good work I look forward to playing Thumper.

This game has gone through some major changes from here to the final version. I think the changes were good. This has already become my favorite game

The teaser looks a bit better than the actual game, IMO. But Thumper is still one of the best rhythm games I will play. :)
