    Q 5: how to deal with a difficult co worker or patient?
    A: First try to settle the dispute with the person in question, if that fails go up the chain of command and explain the issue at hand.

      All u new PTA's be careful out there... ive learned over ten yrs that majority of your teammates will be judging ,talking shit, and trying thier best to make u look worse and them look better.... most of the time because they were too fuckin lazy to handle a tx properly. jealousy is everywhere, watch out for nursing at SNF's especially CA's they will talk to u like shit... and NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO THEM... and if u say a word back even if its appropriate...you'lll get targeted by ursing and shit'll get hectic quickly. My advice.... Ive learned by being fucked over ONLY because I have a strong pasison for the job and helping humans in eed get proper care. Youll see pT's send u in to a tough pt that has comobitities out the ass, that dont participate, etc. Watch what happens when u actually respect and pt, handle pt's concerns promptly and respectfully, and talk ..ESPECIALLU listen to patients closely and adapt your tx's. everyone will be like... "howd u get those minutes? what d u do" while smiling , and then go talk shit to everyone else because they dont carry the same passion, dont respect the patients, and because of that.... the patients simply refused tx when talked to like shit by other clinician. I couldnt tell u how many x pt 's asked me.... HOW COME NOONE TREATS ME LIKE U DO? HOW COME NO ONE ELSE TOLD ME HOW TO PROPERLY TRANFER WHILE using this technique that makes it easier to maintain NWB?" etc.... beware.The more u care, advocate, and document the truth....the more nursing will target u... your team will target u... and the more hectic shit will be. If anyone got questions hollar. Peace.

    Hey Antonio! Ive really been enjoying your videos as im hoping to get into a PTA program soon. I can tell this is great for a PTA job interview, but I would also like to see a video on how to prepare and what to expect for a PTA program application interview. My college requires us to do an interview with the PTA program board before we get accepted and it has me SOOOO nervous! Any advice would be great!

      Hey Kristen! 👋🏾 Ohhh my word it is like a GODSEND that I ran across your comment. I have my PTA program interview on this Tuesday and I am SOOOO scared! I have been looking at various CZcams videos on correct body language, possible questions that might be asked, how to calm nerves, etc. You name it! But, as you stated above I have not found any videos that explain HOW to prepare or what to expect from an interview in front of the school board. Did you find anything to be helpful? Were you able to control your nerves so that you could speak clearly and confidently? What types of questions should one prepare for or expect? I am freaking out! Any advice or suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated! -Kisa 😳

    Thanks for the info! I looked at your PTA Interview Q&A video, but didn't see the response for this one, " What would you do if you were working with a patient that was starting to refuse working with you?"

    • @AntonioSanson
      @AntonioSanson  Před 5 lety +5

      I'm glad you found interest in it!
      I would say something along the lines of "I would use communication skills to encourage the patient to see the value in getting treatment for that day. I would try to understand where the patient is coming from to see if I can address his/her concern so that I can provide care"

    *Physical Therapist Assistant

    • @AntonioSanson
      @AntonioSanson  Před 3 lety

      lol I called it "physical therapy assistant" for SEO purposes. More people search for physical "therapy" assistant rather than "therapist". So my video shows up better in results if I use language that everyday common people would use.
      Trust me... my teacher would tell us that allllllll the time in school lol
