- Ryan Hayashi, the motivational magician with a message, presents another fun psychology trick at work with his students at the University of Mannheim in Germany. While all good magic requires a solid understanding of psychology, this series of videos focuses on routines that rely more heavily on psychological subtleties than sleight of hand moves or method. And yes, Ryan really does like to talk to his trophy.

I recognize this trick, but you're taking it to a whole other level, man... it's one of those tricks that make even the magician performing it understand that cards truly have magic in them.. Really well done! Love the variation!
Thanks. Glad you like it. Presentation is everything. Ryan Hayashi
Wow that was an awesome execution! Loved the way you did this
I love how you made a simple trick be done in a more complex way to the viewer!
You're awesome, Ryan! You are the first magician I've followed off of fool us to youtube and all your stuff is pure gold. Thanks for your enthusiasm and for the wonder you instill; you can never feel bad after a Ryan Hayashi video!
This is a beautiful combination of presentation methods to make this an entirely new "trick". Love the D.B. element :P This series is so much fun to watch.
The guy in the back was inflicted heavy psychological damage by merely by observing this display of mind bending power :D
Even now he sits in a padded room trying to figure out how his life ended up like this.
@@kirkjohnson9353 Lol
Thanks. Glad you liked it. More to come. What do you think, should I call this series "Fun Psychology Tricks", "The Psychological Damage Series", "The Mind Manipulation Series", or "The Mind Bender Series"?
@@HayashiTheMagicMan oh oh oh! (Raises hand in a childish fashion) i think you should call it "The Mind Manipulation Series" and then do a compilation every now and then, with only the strongest reactions, and call those compilations " The Psychological Damage Series"
Brain melting achieved!
Ryan, you are ABSOLUTELY, RIDICOULOUSLY GREAT! Unbelievable trick!!!!!!!
Very clever and awesome presentation of this.👍👍
Ryan Hayashi new psychologic trick? Immediate like!
Oh my God! My brain is smoking hot! There is Steam everywhere, I can't think straight No more! I feel powerless I don't know what to do or what to think anymore! What's my name? I can't remember, where do I stay? I don't know! How old am I? I've no clue!
One sure thing I know is that my brain just got severely damaged by this Ryan Hayashi performance!
This guy is a jedi genius, he is Anakin and he turned all of us into JarJar Binks specimens!
Amazing!
Thanks. Glad you liked it. More to come. What do you think, should I call this series "Fun Psychology Tricks", "The Psychological Damage Series", "The Mind Manipulation Series", or "The Mind Bender Series"?
@@HayashiTheMagicMan I like psychological damage because when you said it on Penn and Teller I laughed.
But you should do a poll with your youtube channel to know. I don't know how to do it but many youtubers are doing it.
I like your fingers and balls routine, it is very entertaining. (I'm talking about magic of course 🤣)
This is one of the basic mathematical tricks that one learns as a beginner. Followed it till repositioning of the chosen card from middle to 3 less cards. But... couldn't understand how the dealer stopped on the same position.
This is an Awesome presentation which took this trick to a whole new level.
So greatly presented !!! Thanks Ryan for this moments shared.
Thanks. Glad you liked it. More to come. What do you think, should I call this series "Fun Psychology Tricks", "The Psychological Damage Series", "The Mind Manipulation Series", or "The Mind Bender Series"?
I have been binging on Penn and Teller Fool Us recently and accidentally found your act and absolutely loved it. You are absolutely hilarious and while I don't know anything about magic I love watching it and appreciate how much work you put into your acts. I honestly hope you blow up on youtube so that more people can enjoy the pure ball of entertainment that you are.
Thanks. Glad you liked it. More to come. What do you think, should I call this series "Fun Psychology Tricks", "The Psychological Damage Series", "The Mind Manipulation Series", or "The Mind Bender Series"?
@@HayashiTheMagicMan I think "Fun Psychology Tricks" is the perfect title because everyone in this series seems to be having a lot of fun, including us, the viewers.
Edit: or I guess "Psychological Damage series" works too 😂
A new presentation for an old trick, I love it!
What is the name of this trick?
@@FelipeSantosBa We do not speak of that here. Find a magician who knows card magic and ask them.
27 cards tricks 😂
Excellent. Even though he almost screwed up the trick. Great presentation
Presentation makes it perfect...
U r like GOD...
OLD god or NEW
I can't tell...
The force is strong with this one.
Bro those videos are awesome!
Ryan you are so awesome.
Arrggg... This was a fooler. I am puzzled. Funny and Awesome performance!
Great performance! It's so interesting how "uninteresting" tricks can become magic with one or two little tweaks and a TON of performance... I guess I'll have to learn from this...
Amazing!!
A masterpiece in presentation. As it is showed the trick become a very nice one to have ready when someone ask: show me a trick.
Pretty cool card trick man!
Ryan Hayashi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First comment boi!!!! Wassssup!!!!!!!!!!! All the way from LA, CA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Samme gets official props for writing the first message on this video. You da man, bro!
I believe you will be bigger then Shin one day, keep it up bro.
The best part was when they did the "American reaction" :D. Hilarious. Seriously. Sehr schön Ryan.
I need to make sense of this right now before I get an aneurysm, so I am gonna say he kicked him or stomp his foot. You said you were gonna make him look awesome several times so I guess this could be a psychology class on effective instant stooging.
"before the trick we didn't plan anything and still now you don't know how this happened"
I see what you did there.
Great video.
Thanks. Glad you liked it. More to come. What do you think, should I call this series "Fun Psychology Tricks", "The Psychological Damage Series", "The Mind Manipulation Series", or "The Mind Bender Series"?
@@HayashiTheMagicMan I like the Psychological Damage Series as the title as you are also blowing my mind.
I hope this line was a wink at other magicians: "I think the force is strong with you." :D
How dafuq did he do that? 😂😂😂im truly amazed.
I am one with the Force.
@@HayashiTheMagicMan since I saw you in fool us, you've been my favorite magician. Your performance is so original, and your humor. Keep it up man.
Watch a million card tricks’s video
•Linda Playz• I have already seen it it’s really good and I also recommend to watch it😁
Watch a million card tricks he teachs how to perform this
I dub this trick, "One must think outside the box, but not the cube"
That was nuts
I know how Ryan located the card, I don't know how he made his assistant locate the cart. Great trick!
U will get the tutorial at a million card tricks
Hello I’m new, and I have a question. Can this trick be done with all 52 cards and the jokers? So 54 cards total. I recognized the trick and watched how it’s done. It’s a very powerful trick and I just was hoping I or someone more advanced than me could make it even more powerful.
I think I'll have to add: How do you come up with these "enhancements" for well-known tricks that make them really magical?
That was excellent Ryan. I’m a magician and have no idea.
Thanks. Glad you liked it. More to come. What do you think, should I call this series "Fun Psychology Tricks", "The Psychological Damage Series", "The Mind Manipulation Series", or "The Mind Bender Series"?
@@HayashiTheMagicMan psychological damage, of course!
@@lazimkainikkara9345 is this the birth of psychological damage
@@joelimmanuel5203 yeah 😄
Loved the reactions at the end, you do read all the comments sensei.
Yes. I read all of the comments.
@@HayashiTheMagicMan Thanks, this made my day. I started praticing magic 3 months ago, you are a big inspiration to me.
@@guyfive5840 Thanks. Glad you liked it. More to come. What do you think, should I call this series "Fun Psychology Tricks", "The Psychological Damage Series", "The Mind Manipulation Series", or "The Mind Bender Series"?
@@HayashiTheMagicMan Some make me feel psychologically violated, but that would be even worse than mind manipilations. Maybe 13 step to psychomagic ?
sehr schön, mir gefällt auch dein deutscher Akzent, aber sehr schöne Routine auf jeden Fall ;.)
Danke. Was klingt besser: "Fun Psychology Tricks", "The Psychological Damage Series", "The Mind Manipulation Series", oder "The Mind Bender Series"?
Aber cooles Format unabhängig vom TItel!
Can someone explain why the guy on the left ist counting exactly 7 cards??
I think I see a little bit how this might work....It's a simple matter of the process of elimination because the guy who picked the card, keeps telling Hayashi what group it is in, and that group keeps getting narrowed down.
Acting is on Point :D
wait, why is "with whom did you speak" wrong?
"With whom did you speak?" is not wrong. It has fallen out of common usage and now sounds outdated. Most native English speakers today will say "Who did you speak with?"
LMAO!!!!! The reaction!!! LOLOLOL!!!
You probably don't want to hear some negativity, but I don't think Shin Lim is anywhere near the level of talent you have. In my personal opinion, you are far above him. I am not at all saying Shin Lim is a bad magician, he is very very very good and far better than most magicians, but he isn't on par with Ryan Hayashi. I am also sorry for inflating your ego, I am just giving my own personal opinion, which doesn't mean I am right or wrong.
I agree with you. I like Shim Lin but this guy is on another level.
Why everyone is saying Shin lim🤦🏻♂️ The most influential and talented alive magician is Juan Tamariz.
@@MsSuper1121 xDoubleLiftx In my opinion every magician is different. Juan tamariz is one of the gods of magic but i like more other magicians like Daryl (r.i.p) or Ryan.
Wir3d - Magician Subjectivly, whatever you say is right. Objectively, your are not right.
@@MsSuper1121 I hate the way Juan Tamariz performs. I think he's too much loud and crazy. I know a lot of magicians that think that like me. Nothing in magic is objective or sobjective it depends on your own way to perform
wtf ryan... mind blowing
Thanks man.
Does vanishing beers and more beers liters count as a magic trick?
Andre Luis ....yes
Does anyone know how he did it ? I want to learn.
As he said, this is a presentational monster. You should be able to figure this out yourself, except for the last part for which I'm clueless myself. Again this trick requires a lot of skill in controlling people to do it well and make it feel okay.
Bro you need to write a book or publish a dvd or a masterclass Ryan! Your sick with it. I bet ud make a TON of money if u sold ur Fool Us matrix thru alakazam or really ANY of your effects. TEACH US THE WAY OF THE SAMURAI RYAN!!!
Wow
How that trick might have explanation at all?
That's the real question.
hey Ryan maybe u r the perfect guy to create a magic about the flat earth
drain bamage 💯
how can this get any dislikes?
Wtf you are an actual wizard
what sorcery is this
Magic theory combined with thought-out presentation.
Ryan!! Always killin the game. The juice head in the hideous muscle shirt though... LMFAO
FREAKING FUNNY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know how you did Ryan, but I ain't telling
I would have to Agree you don't look like Shin Lim
They got a good stooge back there... HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA...
Ryan is bist funny... russian hitman lol
But.. do you speak Japanese..? :P
Man this has gotta be fake or planned wtf!!!
This is real.
Ryan Hayashi but...he stopped at any card he wanted what this is the best force i have ever seen
@@HayashiTheMagicMan you need to perform this trick on TV !
Nah! they are friends, they planned this trick before starting the video.
This is real. No acting here. These are my students at work, not my friends.. They had never seen this routine before, and didn't know what I was going to do. I teach this routine in my lecture.
@@HayashiTheMagicMan How can we get to that lecture? :)
Yes you dont resemble shin lim .. hes great and you .... well ... youre not
