- This is Ryan's A90 Supra that he's built for time attack! Under the hood is a B58 with a Garrett GTX 3076 ball bearing turbo, bolt-ons to support it, an AP Racing big brake kit, and a long list suitable performance mods in order to hit the track and run hard laps all day long. Enjoy!

Gosh dang this gives off pure JDM car vibes. This sounds just like a 1JZ. Toyota knocked it outta the park with the GR Supra.
I don't think that sounds like a 1JZ. That's a much higher pitched motor. I believe the firing order is different as well. Also this car seems to be getting a reputation for unpredictable and twitchy handling; That's not really a Toyota thing; I'd argue it's not a good thing in general.
@@hamsterbrigade We can agree to disagree regarding the sound. However the twitchy handling was done by design. The SW20 MR2 was also quite a scary car to drive too, and the GR Supra channels some of that energy except it's nowhere near as unpredictable.

Need to review your monthly bills and see what you can shed off.

why does this supra shift so slowly? theres a delay between the pedal clicking and the gears changing

Do you happen to know what type of fenders are on the car?
Interesting commentary on the VANOS. I've had the same issue so I'm replacing both central bolts and actuators. It went from being a rare thing to being very repeatable on clockwise tracks. Good luck fixing it too!
Just replaced bolts and actuators. Hopefully it’s fixed

You're not wrong haha, we originally designed those when the vast majority of our videos were Japanese cars, but we could certainly add some more Z06 and American V8s to the mix. Thanks for looking :D

It's either or tbh. Just like the mark 2, mark 3,mark 4 that's said either or but saying mk4,mk3,mk5 is just easier and shorter and partially being that that's just the way that people mostly adapted to calling it.

B58 uses both Vanos (variable valve timing) and Valvetronic (variable valve lift) both systems have been used by BMW for a while now, and are implemented on the B58 as well
