I think Joan Rivers really enjoyed Engelbert and Engelbert enjoyed her sense of humor. I enjoy watching the interviews thru the years. Engelbert always looked handsome & his voice was always great. ❤️
I think life is what you make it so the fact that he messes around on his wife ruins it all for me. If put in certain situations I think he should just get out of there. No matter how rich or famous you are there is no excuse to cheat on a woman who has seen you through the hard times and given you 4 children and who is the love of his life. I just don’t get it. He is handsome for sure and a great singer but as I can see he doesn’t put much thought into family life. He loves to be the center of attention . Just stinks. I feel bad for Patricia that’s all.
His family is very important to him. His kids all love their dad. Engel admits he was not always faithful to Patricia and in his autobiography, What’s in a Name, he asked Patricia to write about why she stayed with him. He admits that he let the stardom go to his head but that he got himself back on track. He stuck by Patricia’s side through over 10 years of Alzheimer’s. She passed just this February from Alzheimer’s and complications from Covid. They were married for almost 55 years.
He admitted to his mistakes years ago and regrets them. She stood by him because she loved him and she told critics it was her life and not theirs. Engelbert is a good man.
