- The SmartMi Wi-Fi connected HomeKit-enabled Rainforest humidifier is unlike any other smart home accessory. Not only is it a useful humidifier that can controlled from the Home app and Siri, it creates the calming sound of running water and emulates rainfall against the clear sides.

SmartMi definitely seem to be on a roll. I can't wait to get my hands on this one!
100% humidity does not feel like you are underwater :). Air has a maximum amount of water that it can absorb :).
I just ordered a SmartMi Rainforest. I'll be getting it next week.
Looks neat! Great review
I saw the thumbnail and the title. I want one of these now.
Love Smartmi products! I have two air purifiers from them😁 I Have the Vocolinc humidifier and it’s on a glass stand. It gets very wet… ha ha 😅
Great, now I can encourage even more mold to grow in my house
This won't be encouraging mold to grow in your home. MOST homes, at least those outside of Florida, can benefit from a humidifier. They'll help your home versus hurting it. let alone better for you, your skin, babies, and more. You should set it at a comfortable 40 degrees or so humidity. It wont get to dangerous levels unless the room is exceptionally small.
If your homes humidity level is at 80% or higher, then yeah…
But since the comfort zone is between 40-60%, you’re not going to see mold growth. Besides, there are tablets that last for weeks.
Ooo I want one!!!
Great review! I'll definitely be trying out SmartMi next. I have Switchbot's humidifier, works great and importantly, lasts 12+ hours but it's not HomeKit compatible.
I just looked up the SwitchBot one. It says it’s controllable by apple HomePod. Which is a very weird way of saying it. I use SwitchBot on homebridge so you may be able to use it on that if you want to give homebridge a try. I like the price so I might try this one out
Can you add a sound test? Of the rain sound? Sleep sound etc? Thanks my girlfriend loves rain sound to fall asleep
Does this work with Google home?
$300? In Europe (Netherlands) this costs only $170.
is it evaporative or ultrasonic?
Evaporative.
Definitely needs thread especially at that price it needs all the bells and whistles.
4:00 100% humidity doesn't mean you're underwater. It just means the air holds as much moisture as it can at that temperature.
Own the older models and love them. At 300 it's DOA.
Why can’t we have a HomeKit humidifier that ISN’T $300???
Are we asking for the moon, or something???
i wish it had LEDs to light up the rainfall at night.
this would be neat......especially if it had a sort of scene that replicated the purple flash of lightning thru the rain
Yeah like the LG signature air purifier
@@Donilan Thanks for that. Didnt know about this one. Although I have to say this humidifiers sucks(Xiaomi). After using it for 6 months the motor failed on me and when i did some research to found out this is common and there is no way to just replace the motor, at least where i live. The design is flawed and even if the motor is replaced it will fail again because it cannot handle the build up of minerals. So, I would highly not recommend this humidifier.
@@emmanuelj18. Good to know, I won't buy this then I guess
I would buy this if it was below $200
It is now, atleast in the EU :-)
no test this is only marketing....sorry forget this thing!!!! You need calcfree water all the time and it's too loud!!
$300 is a lot bro. That’s way too much.
Considering you have the best humidifier and air filter over there, you sure sound stuffy and nasaly. Maybe the devices aren't working that well...
The "rain" effect disappeared after 1 week.
Hi, could you please tell me more about this?
That doesn't even make sense
@@xblur17 that's true, hi the rain effect is reduced after a week. To restore it you need to clean the glass tube from inside with microfiber cloth. Yet still it's a fantastic device.
As a person who lives in Southeast Asia, this is kinda useless. But still… Nah, nevermind… I think I’ll pass.
