I love Tomb Raider 1-3, I remember playing them as a kid and I couldn’t finish them because I had no idea where to go, it’s still the same now at the age of 35 playing the remastered versions, I’m so grateful for these videos; finally I know where to go, finally I can get through the levels and complete the games! 😀😃

@@georgeseverent180 i beat this level while hanging upside down and with both hands tied behind my back. the controller was in my mouth and i used my tongue to navigate croft. you need skillz

Second level in the game...a great way to ease you in..in no way complected
Tomb Raider 3 is my fave and I love all the level designs, but especially the jungle ones at the start. I was always sad tho about having to kill the animals.

The designers are mad at the players? Seriously. I like this game but on ps1 you cant see shit. So dark and horrible blended textures. The difficulty is insane.
Most traps are designed to kill you. Even doors and corridors. Why so mean? It the fucking level 2!!!
Way too hard for level 2.
I know people who bought the game and gave up after trying this level.
Not to mention the levels are ridiculously long

This level is filled with complete and utter crap. It is a good thing they didn't start the game with this level because otherwise I wouldn't have kept playing.

I'm playing the remaster cause my father played these all the time and I always wanted to beat one. I've tried and tried many times and after the remaster I've come to realize... Its not the graphics or the insane traps.... ITS THE CONTROLS! My goodness I tried the tank controls again on parts I could breeze through with modern controls. I'm like "how tf did my dad have the patience for this mess!"
I loved these games, but that's how they wear back in the 90's long and tedious. I just bought the remastered because TR3 was the only one I never played. And I can't get back into it because you're right. The controls are God awful and the graphics aren't that much better. They made a ps1 game into a ps2 game When they should have just rebuilt the levels like they did in TR anniversary
I know what you saying, but its a remaster, not a remake. There's a charm about the old ones that I love playing, the ambience etc, and it's like returning to childhood, anniversary was cool, but just isn't the same feeling. Tank controls arent the issue as such it's the precise pinpoint accuracy of jumps that's the difficult part @@mooonman66
Absolutely true. This is what we wanted tbh a faithful upgraded port. No big changes from how it was 25+ years ago. So glad they kept it the way it was.
If you’re uncomfortable it might require a bit of a learning/relearning curve.
The tank controls are fine it works best with it. Tr was built around the tank controls the level design is built on a grid system. A stand jump is 2 blocks a run and rump is 3 blocks the best way to play games that are built on a grid system is to use tank controls

Thank god there are guides for this piece of garbage. Horrible level design, no wonder why the Core team said they didn't want to make more games. The more they made the more they sucked.

level design in this game is a joke. designers litteraly trolled us all
11:50 - bullshit. There’s no chance anybody could figure out to push that block without a guide - it looks virtually identical to all the others. Really bad level design.
The game shows you an obviously movable/interactable block earlier. So i guess they expect you to put 2 and 2 together and go "hey, these walls look similar to that block earlier.. no where else to go.. can i move them?"
What actually IS odd design is the switch to fill the pit with water is hidden behind another block. But you might not bother to move the other blocks thinking it's just optional secrets. Along with the fact the lever in the pit is on ground level, but Lara can't pull it unless she's in water.
I actually did manage it on my own, but then not the next bit - the 'clue' is that there is basically nowhere else to go.
What I don't understand is why people are bitching about being hard. What is it hard is it because it's not holding your hand by the caricature telling you what to do by saying hmm maybe I could move one of those blocks. Lol what do you want a big massive bright red arrow pointing the way. Do your self a favour and use your brain lol this is how games should be wish all games today would be exactly like this without baby sitting you.
