  • A short video of me driving and drifting the MA030EVO using a Flysky NB4. I'm using a rear locked diff with a front ball diff setup for both grip and drift configuration. Throttle dual rate was set to 70% as the car had more than enough power.
    I used DS Racing LF4s for drift and some standard slick tyres that came with the P1 GTR body.
    Bodies in the video are the R32 GTR and the Honda NSX Takata Dome 2005.

    Drifting is just ten times more enjoyable than regular driving, in small scale especially.
    I’d love to see regular races done with LF1 tires (and slow motors) as well, instead of grippy rubber.
    Would make it look much more realistic.

    Nice! Would you recommended the evo over something like the atomic amz? I don’t like the proprietary electronics of the kyosho mini z.

      @Auranapse  Před 4 lety +2

      I do not own a AMZ actually, so I'm not sure tbh. I think you should check out beaver's hobby as I'm sure he's reviewed it.
      For racing I think generally people recommend the GL Racing chassis, with the Atomic behind.
      While for drifting I guess the RWD Atomic DRZ would be better. The Mini Zs are my first look into hobby grade RCs so I don't really know the benchmark. But I do love the MA-030EVO for sure, and while it has been regarded as really good, I believe the GL Racing chassis would be faster on a track.

    Are these all on the MA030 Evo chassis - the R32 and Takata NSX bodies fit with the top motor mount?

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 2 lety +1

      R32 fits fine. However the NSX body might need to be forced in a little, I'd recommend against it though. Modifying the motor mount to shave part of the top half off may help it a little.

    Fun video! Where do you get the items for the course?

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 4 lety +3

      Cones are from one of the ready sets, the kerbs are made by Kyosho, part number MZW9. The barrier is something I just made with Lego :P

    Hi, have you tried pn 50t brushed @ma020 fhss? Just want to have more power than the x speed brushed motor here.

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 2 lety +1

      The X Speed motor is already plenty powerful and I actually kinda prefer it to the 50T motor. The 50T motor from PN has a lot of resistance when off throttle and may lock up the wheels, which some may prefer however. The X Speed has similar top speed as well.

    are you running the RWD or AWD version for drifting?

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 3 lety

      For this video the car is AWD. RWD Mini Zs in general can't drift well if at all because they have too little steering lock. There are other non Kyosho chassis that is made for RWD drift though.
