NSW is New South Wales, it's the state Sydney is in. Fun fact; it's about 1.15x the size of Texas, and takes about 13.5-15h to drive from one end to the other (depending on traffic and route).

FUN FACT about AoA. AoA was supposed to be the 2nd half of Pop Century. It was going to be the Golden Era 1910s-1940s. The plan fell through due to 9/11 and the recession. The building were there but never finished until Disney decided to finish it but as AoA
And isn’t that why Cars was built with indoor hallways later? And it’s the only value resort with indoor hallways.
That’s interesting! Thats a huge gap between building. I’m glad they built AOA, but it would have been more cohesive to have all the decades.
@@trishkeller8228 It's true! It was an abandoned site for 10 years! The Little Mermaid buildings were already started which is why they're the same style as the other hotels, the other buildings were only foundations, so they redesigned with the indoor corridors and suites not individual rooms. Such a smart move, worked out to really fill a need for family vacations.

one major reason we stay at Pop is access to both food courts. Also, I can’t believe you didn’t mention this but one thing that makes the big blue pool special is that if you go underwater they play music that you can only hear underwater! It is the neatest thing ever!

Hello Chris, two quick things. Stayed at AoA in 2019 and when the Cozey Cone sign is working right it lights up in Neon lights, actually I remember alot of Neon in that area at night, it was awesome! Also The Big Blue pool has underwater speakers to play music when you put your head under the water! One of my favorite Disney Resorts!
As an artist myself I would LOVE to stay at this resort! I feel like I’d get so inspired to draw and create

Hey Chris! Two years ago myself, my wife and my then eight year old daughter flew over from the UK for a Disney vacation. We stayed in The Little Mermaid section and I'll NEVER forget my daughter's face when we walked in the room! Truly magical, and your amazing video bought all the once in a lifetime memories flooding back. Thank you, thank you so much for all you do. It really is very much appreciated man.
This was also our experience. Such a great resort to keep the magic and Disney immersion alive.

1:11:30 You can also get grocery delivery to your hotel. I'd personally wait to order until I'm actually on property but I've heard some say that they place their grocery delivery order from the airport and it's waiting for them when they get to their resort. I don't know that I'd trust it to be waiting for me at the desk but I'd definitely trust it to go fairly smoothly with me already on property. :)
They will absolutely hold it at concierge. In fact, it can’t be delivered to the room so it will be at concierge either way. We ordered Walmart delivery and it was so helpful as there is already so much to manage. WDW is a much bigger vacay and more logistics to plan than Disneyland.
@@HouseOfAmarna Yeah, I knew it could be delivered just wasn't sure where it'd be held. I still wouldn't trust ordering it before I got to the airport at the very earliest, but having it delivered while I'm on property or close to arriving would be ideal in my opinion. :)

We stayed at the Pop Century around 2009 in the 60's area and our room overlooked the water where the skyliner would be built. We had a view of an unfinished resort. Disney had run out of financing and just left the unfinished buildings empty. My Wife's uncle works for the company that maintained the roofs of the buildings until they could find the completed project. It became the Art of Animation resort when funding became available.

NSW = New South Wales. It is the name of the state, of which Sydney is the capital city. We have 6 states (NSW, Queensland (QLD), Victoria (VIC), South Australia (SA), Western Australia (WA) and Tasmania (TAS), plus two territories… Northern Territory (NT) & Australian Capita; Territory (ACT) which is where the nation’s capital Canberra is located). On the Australian flag, the Federation Star (below the Union Jack which is in the upper left quadrant) has 7 stars… 1 for each state, and one for the territories.

The art of animation resort was originally supposed to be called Disney’s Pop Century Legendary Years themed after the 1900 - 1940's turn of the century. But was reimagined. interesting read if you google it, NSW = New South Wales! Also they play music underwater in the Big Blue Pool!

I am SO glad that the rooms are still themed for the areas they are in. When you said the rooms are like the rooms at Pop Century, I was a little scared. I LOVE The Little Mermaid rooms!
I had the same response! When he said it was the same as pop century I thought, what? No more little mermaid rooms?? We stayed at cars first year resort open with daughter and grand daughters and two years later the girls wanted to stay in mermaid room with their parents. Now with the skyliner the resort is even better! Great pools.
Not quite the order of appearance in the movie. Sheriff first, then Mater, then the others. Doc appears last in the courtroom.

NSW: NEW SOUTH WALES. While I'm glad that the man in the wheelchair is doing well, this version of corporate disney isn't the version that Walt or Roy would've wanted or even recognize anymore. I mean this corporate disney wanted to take Walt's name off the whole land! A name that Roy put on it SPECIFICALLY to have people NEVER forget that this was his BROTHER'S DREAM! For that reason alone, until, hopefully, the REAL DIsney comes back, (the one without a drag Evil Queen and a bearded fairy god-whatever), I won't be going back any time soon. BTW Chris, you forgot to mention about the Art of Animation pool that has sound when you go underwater in the Big Blue pool. As you mentioned, the buildings were going to be the rest of the decades and the lake is named hourglass lake for the TIMES that were to surround it. The Little Mermaid area was almost completed when they stopped the project and that's why they are almost the same as POP, the others had various levels of work done, from just a pad to only walls. So they could be built out to be different than the old style that the other values have. But as normal another nice video Chris. I KNOW you're doing your best even though you miss you family not being there with you.

In 2021, we stayed in a Cars Family Suite. It worked quite well for our needs. The theming of the resort is fantastic. We had a view of Hourglass Lake and it was close to Skyliner.

Of the value resorts, the theming of this one might be my favorite. You were so lucky to stay in the Cars area, on camera it seems just as immersive as cars land in DCA! Keeping it consistent with the movies by not giving Lightning headlights and leaving him with stickers is too funny.
You might feel like the road ahead is long, but you truly are racing through these resorts. You’re already 1/4 of the way done! Give yourself a ⚡️KACHOW⚡️ and keep it going, you’re doing great so far!! ❣️

41:53 The funniest and most probable point I've heard about why the resort was cancelled/changed.
Also the editing and the way Chris tries to describe the Finding Nemo splash pad is really funny! Just him pointing at things and saying "and water comes out there" over and over while stumbling over his words was genuinely hilarious and I love the moments like those.

Love Art of Animation! Been a long time since i visited - skyliner was under construction... Last time I visited I stayed in Cars, they had bodywork professionals giving Doc Hudson some TLC. Cars isn't one of my favourite movies, the more I think about it the more of a headache I get! But both the Cars rooms, and Cars Land at DCA, are just breathtakingly good. the fake postcards got me when we were packing! The pullout couch was remarkably comfortable for what it is - not GREAT no, the table bed is way better, but it was fine!
One thing I do miss from the early years of Art of Animation, you used to be able to use the pool from first thing in the morning. Coming from UK, jetlagged, wide awake at 5am, it was absolutely magical to take a quiet dawn swim in the Big Blue Pool. Does the Big Blue Pool still play music underwater? That was the neatest feature of my dawn dips! I def appreciate the need for opening/closing hours though. Shame to see they no longer have interesting curry options on the menu. My biggest criticism of the resort was how loud the food court got. it could feel like walking into a physical wall of noise! The Big Blue Pool was noisy in the evening too, but it's only to be expected at a large, family focused resort.
I hope you came across cast member Art of Art of Animation - his jokes are worse than yours! And yes, the spinning neon sign does light up :D

Even though they say it has been done e before not in a row and that really gives an idea of each hotel at the same time of year which is a much better comparison. I loved this one, Chris! Especially when you add off-the-cuff funny b-roll clips like the accidental shot a couple of videos back that showed you from the perspective of the water bottle filling station and, in this one, from your power cord. I liked your shadow puppets on the building at night. You put 110% into all your work, and it shows. 💙👍
