The UCI Mountain Bike World Series unites mountain bike’s major formats under a single brand for the first time. The new UCI Mountain Bike World Series includes the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup for Cross-country Olympic (XCO), Cross-country Short Track (XCC), Cross-country Marathon (XCM), Downhill (DHI), Enduro (EDR) and E-enduro (E-EDR).

Let the analysis begin, 4.3 seconds is a lot in downhill and you can be sure every line, every pedal stroke and every tuck will be analysed by goldstones competitors. That was insane, well done Canada and well done Jackson.
Man wish Finn had stayed up. Couple Canadians 1-2 would have been special.
I was so angry when he scrubbed that jump in Les Gets and went off track. Seemed like such a stupid mistake. Just hard to watch when you‘re rooting for somebody 😅
Finn has the physicality to pin it through sections few people can, but then doesn't use a light touch when needed. I hope he develops this for next season.

Imagine you have a whole season to prepare for the final race and still manage to miss out key moments. Thankfully they fixed that view on the Stevie drop, but I was furious when they showed that corner with the Oakley banners for like 10 secs and no one showed up. That‘s exactly where Dak crashed and we missed it. Sort it out UCI for 2024! Not sure if I‘m gonna pay again for this kinda quality.
That's not where Dakota crashed and in that area of track last year Red Bull TV missed larger portions of riders runs (almost a minute). We missed about 15 seconds of Jackson's winning run in 2023, we didn't see over one minute of Finn's winning run in 2022.
@@Point1Athletici know what i have (not) seen and after Dakota came out of that section after waiting 10 secs for him to appear he had dirt on his knee and the time was red. What are you even saying? Bc RedBullTV messed up last year we shouldn’t complain about Warner/Discovery this year?
@@SH-er5dz Red Bull didn't mess up, they always missed out large portions of runs. Dakota crashed on a section of track that has never had a camera, sadly they missed his crash. Missing key moments is sadly always gonna be a thing unless we have five minute gaps between riders, which can't happen unless we have around 20 riders in mens finals.
Simple solution: have cameras everywhere on track so you have at least footage from when things happen. A good director will be able to squeeze that replay in somewhere. But as long as we keep filming the sky with shaky drones and cutting to team managers during a winning run, I don‘t see any improvement happen.
@@SH-er5dz I sure they've thought about it. They had cameras on every section of track on the shorter ones (like Andorra) this year, might be something they work on for the future on the longer tracks

Jackson was what.. 6.7 up on Bruni? Makes me wonder if this is the real changing of the guard in DH.
Bruni was probably playing it safe though, knowing he pretty much had the overall in the bag if he finished with a reasonable time.

Pleeeeease get rid of the drone cam. Please. It glorifies drone pilots and cool scenery but doesn't show the amazing precision of the riding and how technical these tracks are.

Downhill Mountain Bike is the only s;port that I know where winning the overal championship seems to have very little importance or relevance. All the praise is for the race winner versus the wold cup champion. I like like this sport but it just doesn't make sense people's approach to it racing-wise.

@@boriscima8134 Not at all. I am not French and being Italian we generally have a big rivalry. I come from Motocross and there, although wining a race is important the focus is always 100% on the championship. It seems like in DH MTB winning the overall is not that important?
@@apersonontheinternet8034 I am not a fan of Bruni, I am fan of racing and I come from Motocross where the ultimate goal is the champioship. Anyone can win a race but in order to be the best you have to prove it over an entire season. I just don't understand why in Downhill MTB no one cares about championships, it seems like if they win a race they're done. You would never see that in other racing sports like Formula 1, MotoGP, Rally driving, etc.
