Hey guys the coverage is great! An improvement in my opinion! Special props to the drone pilots, that’s not an easy feat trying to keep up with these riders without smashing the drone into a tree.

Guys this Goldstone style is just next level, i love to see this guy smashing the berms!
Goldstone's cornering is unbelievable. He uses the corners to accelerate. Have a look at the one at 3:59 and the following corners.
Yeah shame he pushed to hard on the last one, he had it, Steve peat was actually disappointed, probably told him to ease the brakes in the exact spot 😅❤

Why you didn't put the Finn Iles Run in the highlights???
Forget the commentators. This is supposed to be highlights from the race. What we have here is the top 3 runs. If I'm not paying to have the full coverage it is because I would stay with highlights. But after looking at this I don't know how the race was.... Did someone have a big mechanical that prevents him from having a better run? Who overperforms and holds the hot seat for longer? Was a section of track critical? Sorry but this is a very bad job as a report. Thx UCI for giving this coverage to amateurs.
It would be better if the running time in the top cornerhad a black background rather than green, and then have the final time difference when they cross the line as green or red depending on if they're up/down - rather than transparent - it's hard to tell if the rider is up or down when they cross the line
Lack of Rob Warner is criminal.
It's like F1 without Murray Walker. Guess we'll get used to it eventually.

yeah i complained to red bull about that, as with the time zone i used to go and watch later and they would have so and so winning run, aaarrggghhh before you could find the main race :)😪

Maybe millions of downhillers around the world wasn't able to pay to watch the finals, including thousands of poor kids in Brazil that love Downhill much more than soccer, including me that don't want to pay to a road bike app to watch downhill racing. UCI making money from the ones that payed to watch and making millions of downhillers around the world sad showing that now more than ever Downhill is a rich people sport and a non-inclusive sport 😢

Haven't watched it, didn't know the results till the pinned comment gave it away. I'm not paying for finals so this highlights was what I was looking forward to. It's pants now anyway. Bring on red bull hardline next month ✌️

I have a TV subscription which includes Eurosprot (1 + 2). Discovery promised live coverage of the mountainbiking world cup on Eurosprot. All I get to see is XCO and ... multiple replays of the WES(?). No DHI in the programming whatsoever.
DHI isn't a big thing here in Europe.

Not really highlights right? More like the top three riders. I wanna see what else happened to the other top riders.
It went together easily in less than an hour. czcams.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.

yeah just a little tickle up for results at the end of the video ect, but i get the feeling they would prefer paying subscriptions, in saying that i would expect a full cut of as much of the race runs as possible in a day or two, so far im watching the juniors and the semi finals, might be able to go to full coverage next year, but the lack of meetings , only 8 races in 5-6 months cant see me shelling out for for just 8 meetings, and with the points , it seems one missed/bad race and its all over.
As there is nothing else im interested in watching in the months where there are no races.
i feel in 5-6 months there should be at least 12 meetings, but that's just me.

They’ve had 2 races to commentate so far. Let’s give them a chance.
I thought they commentating was good. Warner is irreplaceable, don't expect that. I would like to see more of the technical riding and less drone/speed section shots.

Very interested to get other DH fans view on what I, as a long-time DH fan, think about the absolutely terrible coverage and product offering from the new providers. Two races in and from where I'm watching;
It's not live!! A 3 minute plus race run is being distilled down to roughly 40 seconds. Seriously what in the actual @#$&?!
Commentators are abismal. The amount of dead air should be punishable by some form or other. And one of them seems obsessed by riders heart rate. F**k me
Camera angles are really poor and are all over the place. I'm not seeing anything of worth. And they need a new drone pilot. Sorry, this type of offering from the weight and money of the new owner is shameful. And the picture quality is appalling.

The above is just the opinion of one humble DH and MTB fan. For such a large content providing originator and corporate machine to be not only charging for this, but as an introduction it is far from acceptable. I feel cheated.

@@0harris0 Yes, all of it. I purchased a sub for Discovery plus and cancelled it yesterday. It's seemingly free on CZcams. My issue isn't with the platform or the fact it's behind a pay-wall. It's the quality of the production and the fact it isn't live. It just doesn't compare to the Redbull production in any way.
@@renarspucitis Clearly. I've just out a fairly detailed summarisation of what I consider to be a sub-standard production and provision of the sport i love to watch. Note the word 'roughly' before 40 seconds.

This is the finals, so yes much more than 30s per run is shown. Semi-finals coverage is much broader, covering more riders in the same time
I am not sure why DH hasn't embraced aerodynmics. The speed lost to wind resistance from Jackson Goldstone's tailwhips surely cost him the victory in Leogang.

They have ruined downhill for me. I can’t watch it anymore and the commentary is shocking. Well done though to all riders, the difficulty hasn’t changed haha
50% of the commentary team is terrible, one of the worst I've heard, any sport. Bring back Rob Warmer
