I have to admit I paused and gasped when I saw Jennifer Armentrout on this list. I love the from blood and ash series. I think your reason for DNFIng is valid for sure. Unfortunately authors are not always well educated in other cultures, ethnicities, etc. my personal thought is why include if you’re not gonna do your research. I hope that made sense. But I do hope to read all of her books some day because from blood and ash is so good.

I get where you’re coming from though, I was hesitant about it when the adopted siblings dynamic but trust me, stick with it, it’s worth it, the angst is so good.
Then if you read it and love it, read Older, Jennifer’s newest release. The angst reminds me of June 1st. So read that too.
I haven’t cried in a book like I did in this one. It was just so so so good 🥲
@gabikroeker8 same! I think I hiccup cried thru chapter 18-20 or something like that. So so good though! If you haven’t read Older, you def should. It’s not as sad as June 1st but the angst is on another level.

@@gabikroeker8 yes! Jennifer is one of my faves! I also loved the wrong heart, looooved it actually! There hasn’t been a Jennifer book that I’ve read that I haven’t loved. Still need to read her duets. Jennifer gave me an ARC copy of her book that drops in July so I’ll be reading that next!

June First is one of my favorite books by JH.🙁 The H is not an adult, he is just a tiny baby boy himself, only a few years older than the h. He witnesses some horrific, traumatizing 💩 and on that same exact day she (his best friend's sister) is born and I guess he gets insta attached to her as a way of coping... She literally became his whole world 😞 Their bond was so sweet though and I don't remember being weirded out by anything.
Also, 💯 agree with everything you said about My Dark Romeo, so far my only dnf this year. 😅
I feel like this video is saving me money because if you dnf a book I know it’s not good lol 😂 I might like the book but this is my reason to save money lol 😂
