- Today in China to end decades of conflict Zhang Lan will take control of the nation through one final power struggle with Chiang Kai-shek. In the meanwhile he will bring democracy to the CPC and bring it up to strength to deal with incoming foreign threats.
An uneasy coalition will be formed with the nationalists to ensure a united front against Japan, the regional warlords will be brought to heel and the Red Army will recover from it's long march and become the world-class army ready to take on any enemy.

Another visit to China today, It was quite the experience since in the first run Chiang blew up the Yellow River no reason and he got pushed back, and even after unification the flooded modifier was still around making supply a nightmare. Did manage to push out Japan but the recording itself had an annoying amount of background noise so I decided to do another run, fun. Sorta.
Hate how you can't form the people's republic as Zhang Lan China. At least you should be able to form the rep of China
Tbh social democracy is best communist china path in my opinion
Social democracy gets you -600 political power and is a waiting game.
the Wang Ming path is the best but is pretty generic.
Maoism is the worst path and is just the wang ming path but worse.
Communist China is pretty bad overall
True ^_^
Theoretically should be the less genocidal one
The only reason because General Dong Dong doesn't have a monument is because there is no enough room to his greatness in China.
Currently making a small mod that expands on this focus path by adding the ability to integrate the warlords and proclaiming a Socialist Republic of China. The path feels like it abruptly ends once you finish the power struggle, can't even get a cosmetic tag.
Mod is done and released.
any update?
what’s the mod name?
You should try a Democratic Baltic state path, they’re all somewhat similar and I found them interesting because of the very limited manpower pool but large industrial base proportional to said manpower
Importantly, it's still possible to get an Axis guarantee as a non-fascist Baltic state - so you can very easily survive against the Soviets
As the superior firepower doctrine says:
“…Our manpower is precious, bullets are cheap.”
You could easily get into tank building or fully mechanized divisions.
16:00 I think a field marshall frontline order (shift click with the field marshal's frontline button. It will be 1 single line instead of 1 single line with all the armies lines separated) would cause less shuffling
Chinese focus trees need some love. The foreign aid side of the focus tree is so useless. Only go through it to get to foreign policies
Those focuses were invaluable to my Manchukuo run
@@joelkilchoer4238 okay but literally any help for Manchukuo is good tho, no matter how small the benefit xD
The plane designer is useful down the UK and USA parts. Plus, you get a few free factories if you control the right provinces. It's also helpful if you want to do something cheeky or cheesy. You can get a UK or French guarantee if you don't form the CUF. So you can drag the allies into a war with Japan super early. Giving you even more lend lease partners to leach off.
@@danielgloyd4529 from personal experience, joining the allies or bringing in allied help breaks the peace conference with Japan. Also it's not necessarily the bonuses you get from the foci, but the fact of how long it takes to finish them compared to what you need to do before/during the war with Japan. An efficient player will ignore most of the foreign aid foci, only going down to get to the foreign affairs foci. At the end of the day, the most valuable assets China has is manpower and artillery. You're never gonna get a big enough air force to contest Japans air force, you won't have the factories to allocate to producing planes, and your only option for mobile warfare would be cavalry or mechanized. Going tanks as China would be a niche. Navy is obviously out of the question as well. The problem with the foreign aid focus tree is that it doesn't play towards Chinas strengths.
Does anyone else think that social democracy path should lead to you being democratic? Or at the very least give the choice to be democratic or communitist through a decision like Poland's Sanation left path.
It’s old
it would be nice but actually ı like this is the thing of communist china. you can only be communist but you can choose your style
I normally start building rail to connect up to supply hubs which aren’t within my borders at the beginning
The man, the myth, the legend 'dong dong'
Babe wake up Bubbles Zest posted
Strongest chief of army in the game?? Tons the nations in the game have that exact advisor. I think there's at least one that gives .4 per day
True, I thought Su Yu was more unique than he really is, but I stand by being the strongest, 10% extra gain is so useful for doctrines, army spirits. (such as not doing pro officer corp)
@@BubblesZest I would agree but conditionally. To take full advantage of the 10% gain you need to have enough alternative sources of xp to make it worth it. The Chinese civil war is a good one. But for a normal nation if your not stacking attaches or volunteers it doesn't get you much
you didnt need to link up that supply hub. you could've just connected yourself to the one in shanxi and the one you build would've connected by river.
Suggestion: LIBERIAting Africa. As Liberia conquer Africa
Could you look at Switzerland paths? My brain power is not enough to understand how I can get every parameter right for the focuses or how different paths really are. Like why anyone would do "The New Eidgenossenschaft" and not "Preempt Ancschluss". I have also heard you can get communist Switzerland with a leader without a proper path.
I would have been spiteful and let the event time out while focusing of destroying Japan's army :P. You let Japan just leave with like 30 divisions that were encircled.
>SocDem requesting lend-lease from Fascist Regime
Would this strat count towards 'The People Have Stood Up!" or do you need Mao?
nope you need mao. it is challenge of the achievement
I hate all the bba changes..is why I play on an older version. Don't care too much if I'm missing the last dlc.
