Loved going out to @diodedynamics open house event. It was such a fun time. I also was able to hang out with @Flatline_WRX who came up from Arkansas to hang out! I got a chance to drive my WRX around their rally track. Unfortunately i did pop a tire but it was still one of the most fun things ive done with my wrx!

Damn looks sick, I wish there was something nearby, but I'd be more scared of breaking something doing this compared to on a track.
It's definitely something to worry about. This was an unofficial track but an actual RallyX track is maintained to not have potholes and wild stuff.

Awesome video man! I am so happy that you had lots of fun! Looked like it was a total blast!!! I am so jealous! Also, seeing your friends WRX was so nice because I have been thinking about getting my rims powder coated with a nice orange color since my WRX is black. It really made me feel better about my choice of color. Also, I think you mentioned in your video with your bumper guard something about replacing the backs of your side view mirrors. If I did hear correctly, where did you purchase them from and are they hard to put on? I am assuming they are pretty simple, I just don't want to risk breaking something on mine. Anyways, thanks for the awesome video and I am glad that your tire is getting replaced!!
Thank you so much! It really was a blast. Yea the mirror caps I got from JDMuscle. They are so easy to replace. Literally pop off in less than a minute.

Whats the consensus on handbrake turns on the vb? I heard the indicator in the video.
I did them a bunch when I had enough speed. The issue is if you are not good ( like me) sometimes you forget to hold the button 😂

Use audacity to edit your audio. Start recording. Keep 10 seconds of you not talking and you can use that 10 seconds of background noise as a sample to delete the background audio. May help when you're at public events so you're not screwed on the footage and interactions.
Its free and takes about 5 minutes to learn.
There is this website I recently used (I did it on my rally coverage video) that you upload your audio and it severely lowers the level of the music. It was ok. I remember using audacity for background noise back in the day. I'll try it again, thanks!

Interesting to see four guys laughing their asses off while the fifth guy is beating the shit out of his daily driven car to a point where the tire gets busted. All while their cars are parked safely in the “back”. 95% of us watching it would’ve never done it to our cars. This is not what these cars are intended for. This car is built for the street ,the rally cars are built way stronger where factory or teams spend thousands of dollars upgrading chassis, suspension and drivetrain components to be able to put a car through this kind of event. This Car had many components put way past its stress points today. Let’s see what will be worn out and break in the coming months. Good luck… there will be a lot more yelling from your wife in the future just saying….
My good sir, my car is already at 35k miles with MANY track days, autocross, and drag strip days behind me. The reason the tire popped was because they let trucks go over the rally course and dog big holes. All 5 of the rally cars that day ended up in the same position and they ended up talking about next year they aren't going to allow that. We all live one life for fun. Fun cars are meant to have fun in. All last year I hit the tarmac hard. It was fun, but not the reason why I fell in love with the WRX. Is this a rally car? No, you are correct. Is it still possible to have fun off the road? Yes it is. All those were my friends and yea they wouldn't do that. But they have a friend who would and I was able to put a smile on everyone's face that day. In the end my car ended up with some issues and each one of those friends was there to help me every way they could. The way I see it, nothing was wrong about that day.

God I hate that grill, looks like a wana be C class.
It's a hard pill to swallow for some. For me it's the only unique grill out there. Half get the mesh catfish, the other half get the sport grill. I dare to be different and I don't mind.
