Flip Skateboards' tech wizard Luan Oliveira taking home 1st place at Tampa Am 2009. This was Luan's last am contest before turning pro for Flip 1 week later.
If you ask me,Luan was even better when he was making his way up to the top before he came to the USA.You guys should have seen Luan competing AM contests back in Brazil. He used to be much more insane back then. Now he does not take much risks anymore.It may be because of the sponsors, money and the pressure of getting more solid runs. I saw him competing back in 2006. I couldn't believe the tricks he would do during a contest.
Same I watched him in person win BOTH Tampa Ams back to back so I got to see him skating around beyond just his runs and his energy was unreal. He did a switch 180 5-0 to bigflip out on the box just messing around during this Tampa Am for example but you won't see that in any of his Tampa Am runs! My favorite skater of all time since 2008!!
@@trojanthegreattheres no way. Skateboarding didn’t get introduced to Cody Cepeda until BATB and that was less than 10 years ago. Before that he said he was working at some factory and living in middle of nowhere Illinois
