Hello Nate, actually water is a conductor, which is why you’re not supposed to use electric devices while in a bathtub

As far as I remember, water is a conduit for electricity. If you are standing in a puddle of water and touch something electric, chance of heart failure.

Kind of like dropping a plugged in hair dryer in a bath tub while your bathing. Bye bye. 😢

Nate, you simply amaze me. Everytime a video comes out you have come up with a solution for a problem
Thanks for your hand work. I so enjoy watching you work

We all know how busy you are. 10 minute videos are fine!! Life gets busy for all of us once in awhile.

Since they are already trained to poly wire, why not just run several lines of “dummy” poly wire? It wouldn’t matter if the water level rises because it’s not really electrified (but the dogs don’t know that)

Water is a conductor for electricity. It will not only kill you potentially but the fish as well.

Saw on another channel where lengths of black pipe were hung close together over a creek, giving the appearance of a solid barrier, but still allowing water and debris to flow through.

That is a great fix for the issue of a rising creek.

Also, thank you for the great idea of how to remedy my creek crossing issue with my fence. Ours washed out a long time before we bought the property

That might keep the dogs in since they are trained to it,but I doubt it will keep other animals out. Why not put a piece of anchor fencing across the creek - the water can flow through it but the animals will be stopped. Seems a bit simpler. You might have to clean it off once in awhile as things flow against but that seems easy enough.

Where you hung those thin pieces of wire on the gate, why not use "weed eater cord" in the yellow color - will look like what is already dangling and also be light colored enough the dogs will think it is like your poly fence. Perhaps instead of a second gate, you might just string a line across that you knot pieces of yellow weed eater cord onto - different lengths might deter the dogs from going under. Just a thought because I would hate to have an animal get hit in the eye by a piece of wire. (There might be other plastic cording that would work but I know most of us have a spool or two of weed eater cord around the homestead. ) Nice job with the gate.

Ever hear of someone committing murder by throwing a toaster or a hair dryer in a tub? Water conducts electricity. And the tennis ball thing will not work. It's going to retain moisture. I would suggest installing a rubber/plastic coated 2 x 2 or 4 x 4 section of fence in the area. Water will still be able to flow, but critters will not be able to get through. But in any case, if the intention is to keep critters in and other critters out - There is going to be maintenance.
