I agree! Great job with the work and the video of the work; it was another really good one.
It seems like something can't be right about finding it relaxing and entertaining to watch ppl hard at work, but it is for some reason.
So thanks for letting us watch while y'all figure it out and 'get 'er done' ;-)
I think it is the transformation and seeing it change before your very eyes that is appealing. Sometimes I have to watch these back to remind myself how far we have come.
Amazing amount of work done in this video. It is nice seeing that getting help was the thing that got you over the hump. 2024 so much accomplished by you and Katie.
Much appreciated!
This is probably the best video that I’ve seen you in cleaning up the property
This is the ‘only’ clean up I have seen them do on the yard!!!!
Truly needed…looks great
Thank you, it looks so much better.
@marienorman3731 This was one more focused on clearing the clutter than others, that is for sure. Most have been mowing, clearing land, or moving chicken areas around :)
I have no doubt you will create a beautiful home. Your preciseness is both a gift and a curse. I live that same conflict. I’d love to come see the final product.
Yes, it will be a beautiful home when it is all said and done and we are so excited to see it come to fruition.
Great progress & the homestead is looking so beautiful! Thanks for sharing & so nice to get experienced help coming. Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦
Thanks so much!
A man on a mission. You certainly did a great job cleaning up the yard and the basement. It is a great video one of the best thank you Gail.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
Your perseverance to get this done right is very impressive. So glad you're going to get some help. Both you and your wife's research and willing to learn the proper way to do stuff says a lot about your work ethic and the way you live your life. Great job to the both of you.
Thank you, we love to learn new skills and share them when we can....even when it doesn't work out.
Nate, I think you’re doing a great job around the Homestead.
Thank you!
Lol! Loved your disclaimer of no chicks or chickens hurt in that mowing, 👏👏🥰😄🙏
HAHA, thanks!
Nate, I think you like to have things nice and neat and everything put away. When you feel like things are here, there, and everywhere then you want to put these away, but then things start piling up to a point where our brains say, it is just too much- not today. I so so so get this!!!
Yes, he gets very frusterated with clutter so living in 220 sq ft for 3 years has been a challenge when you have no where to put things.
Crazy hard work u have put into this what a wonderful outcome u will have many blessings from North Texas ❤
Yes, so much work but it is starting to look so much better.
Yayyy!!! I’m so glad you’re getting help.
Yes! Thank you!
Always so busy. Always such exhausting work.
There is always so much to do.
Wow! You got a lot of work done. I'm looking forward to seeing how tomorrow goes.
You and me both!
Great clean up and work on the house
Yes, thank you
One of the best videos. Editing was great. Really enjoyed the music in this one.
Thank you so much!
Nate you did a great job cleaning up!
Thank you!
Nate, fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and spray the weeds. Do this after the dew has dried and you are having a day of sunshine. This will kill the weeds for you. Enjoyed the video very much.✌🏻❤️🙏🏻
Thank you!
Don't get burned out, keep working on house.
Another great video Nate.
Loved the background music😎
Awesome thank you!
Great cleanup
Great mowing
Great floor prep.
I am excited to see the floor proceed.
Us too!
@TheKraemerLife I just watched today's Two Turtles video. Checkout the greenhouse and it would be easy to add more space as Katie goes along
Can't wait for that to come up on the To Do list
Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
Did a excellent job ❤
Thank you!

Great Video!
Thanks!
Maybe you can paint some form of vapor barrier on the walls
❤❤
❤
👏👏👏
Boy are you a busy guy. Yard looks great!!!
Thank you!
Wow GREAT VIDEO
Thank you!
Construction can be incredibly challenging when you don’t have the background. I. think that you getting help is absolutely the smartest thing to do. I am thankful for Jim and his work, so it can help give you some peace about the floor.
I watch every video on this channel on on the other one as well. 🤞🏻that Tuesday is incredibly busy and gets you to a place where you can relax and start the other soon to be frustrating 😉projects.
Yes, so excited to see the flooring coming together, it should be finished next week so we can put the walls back up and get the drywall installed. Then it should go much quicker as we have much more experience with the painting and finnishing than the construction.
Getting outside help is such a motivator. I am lucky to have someone clean 2x a month. That makes me want to do a lot of other things. Before I kind of shut down and did nothing because it was too much.
Isn’t it nice to get things accomplished ?
Except I broke the lawn mower again!!! I over estimate what my old snapper can do!!! I guess rubber burning smell and white smoke aren’t good !!!!😵💫🥴😳
BAHAHAHA, well I high centered our mower and sparks were flying...also not good. It still works though. Yes, I agree with getting the outside help it is a game changer when it works out.
Nate, these are types of videos that bring me back as a subscriber. I’m not a fan of the woe is me presentations.
Nate, have you thought about installing lights in the crawl space now that it’s opened up? It might be a good storage space for plastic items etc?
Yes, it is already wired and has one light but we will add more as we use it for future storage.
It’s funny I am looking at that berm you have there is the basement, and thinking it’s not a lot different from what my grandparents had in their basement. Grandad built bins on the soil for potatoes, carrots, beets, and cabbage, squash on his berms. They were at the right height we didn’t have to bend over. Just a thought for the future once the upper part is done. Could be your root cellar, now that it’s not wet down there.
That is a fantastic idea, we were planning on using the entry space into the basement for that but it has a window so this would work better for longer storage.
Good job. This must have been while Katy was away. I’m sure you both feel better with all that clutter gathered up and stored away. Well done, Nate. Glad you found Jim to help with the basement construction. Having a person who knows the ropes makes the job go faster. 👍🏻
I was working on other projects and filming a different video at the time :) sometimes it makes more sense to divide and conquor while other projects we need to work together.
Loved this! Lotsa' progress. Just curious though ... why the sleeves on your arms?
Sun protection without the chemicals. Is my guess
He gets them wet to stay cooler, sun protection, bug protection, and also if he gets into a fight with some brambles or poison ivy they help a lot.
Loved the music!
Thank you!
Wow you’ve done a lot of clean-up and work. I just had a thought about your basement m, maybe later on you could dig out and up to make flatter straight walls and maybe dig down a bit more to make it a taller basement. And make it another room or a place where it would possibly be a cooler place in the summer to get away from the heat of the summer. It’s just a thought I know it would be a huge project, if it’s a good idea I just wanted to share my thoughts with you guys. Not like you don’t have a lot to do right hahahah lol funny funny anyways it’s coming along really good. And I will be waiting g on your future videos of the floors being built. And finished so you can continue the inside of the house. Hope you guys are staying cool and hydrated. It was 110 today here in Arizona. Hope your day is a good one.
I think we will hold off on another large house project as we want to put our energy into figuring out the garden and growing more food once the house is ready to move into. It is 94 today but the humidity is very low at 24 RH, 110 sounds awful, I am sure you have good AC living in AZ though :)
Would adding "lime" to those weed barrier little rocks help prevent the weeds from growing?
Good question, we can look into it. Just need to make sure whatever we do is animal friendly as the chickens use it for grit and the dogs lay on it.
@@TheKraemerLife - In that case, to be on the safe side, best to forget the lime IMO.
