in a recent interver with Extra for Dr Doolittle, Robert Downey Jr was asked about returning to the MCU as Tony Stark Iron Man... and believe it or not, his response was the not the steadfast no you would expect, but rather, quite the opposite... while his first answer was joking, his second was much more thoughtful, were going to break down what he said about coming back, what a come back would mean for marvel phase 4 or marvel phase 5, and why you probably still shouldnt expect to see him in an upcoming Avengers 5....

I wonder if we will see black swan in secret wars?
Rumors are great but Marvel has learned not to announce so far ahead when we get mad when they change it.
That’s why they haven’t announced it, that’s just the current plan. They won’t announce it until we get closer and/or they are 100%going to release them.
I take these Marvel rumor channels with a grain of salt. They are spoiler channels and Marvel knows it. They put out false rumors to give YT channels something to chew on to throw them off the trail of what is going on. I enjoy being surprised by what is planned for the future in the Marvel Universe . But, I am old school and believe in patience. Unlike this new generation that needs immediate gratification and wants to know the plot of all the movies before it even comes out to theaters. What is the point of even going to see a movie if you want to know the whole plot before it even comes out. So we shouldn't get mad at Marvel if the plot changes because rumor channels put out information that is designed to mislead. It is the YT Marvel speculator channels spreading things that may not be accurate . Marvel is just playing the game to stay one step ahead of CZcamsrs.
The problem they need to fix is the massive gaps in seeing major characters. The Infinity Saga had constant crossover and people never stopped caring about the characters.
Unfortunately that’s a thing of the past as they introduced so many new characters way too fast! Now they can’t keep up!
@@Neptune1967 Yeah I pretty much agree. I think the character count is ok but they didn’t connect any of the characters. If we had to wait the same amount of time between seeing Iron Man on screen as we do for Shang Chi, no one would care about Iron Man.
For Spider-Man 4, I hope that we get a street level story and Daredevil joins him.
And spidey 5 better have blade and kraven...just like the 90s cartoon

So, Shang Chi 2, Avengers 5 then, World War Hulk not X-Men, as this would be more logical and, I want to see Maestro, World Breaker Hulk and, Joe Fixit/Grey Hulk.

Why does it have to be called Iron man 4. Iron Man is dead. It's not like Cap where the mantle was passed down. There should be no more Iron Man movies. A movie called just Armor Wars though is fine.

And knowing how much they would have to pay him even for a cameo I think they might suprisingly hold off on him so they can pay the large amount of people they want for the movie. But yes no actual conformation RDJ is coming back just that RDJ said he'd be open to it

I'm glad that it seems like the MCU is getting back on track really pumped for DP, Secret Wars, and Spiderman 4.
I *really* hope we get an X-Men film soon, but if they *are* planning to do a soft reboot after Secret Wars then it wouldn't make sense to introduce the X-Men until after that.

I think a Maestro Hulk movie between the Secret Wars parts would be cool, definitely excited to see them make Secret Wars a 2 parter, I think the story demands it.
Doctor Strange 3 should be the most priority because he is gonna be the Tony Stark of Multiverse Saga while Shang-Chi is the second priority because his ten rings is connected to Kang so those two movies are the priority for the storyline of the multiverse saga since the other movies will be dealing on one universe!
Dr. Strange not only needs a redemption, but is integral for the Secret Wars story! Hopefully Marvel realizes the same bro

i think it would be so cool if they made like a disney plus show exploring the nooks & crannies & maybe the stories of lesser characters in battleworld (we wanna save the bigger ones for the movies). not even like required viewing but to highlight the variety of universes that went into battleworld & to give the characters that just can't be given enough time in the movies can be showcased...
X men could make sense. Featuring the fox characters they’ve been introducing. That way we have a little more emotional attachment for secret wars
I think Part 1 and Part 2 in the same calendar year would be HUGE. You just gotta put them 4-6 months apart. Part 1 in July and then Part 2 in December.

Surprised that they'd hold onto it that long, but I get the logic of kicking off the new universe with it as well.
If the MCU follows some of the beats of the modern Secret Wars it would make sense to have a Dr. Strange movie in the middle of the two. The first movie could show the ending of the multiverse and all the various heroes and variants scrambling to save what they can. Dr. Strange could pick up with Battleworld already being formed with Strange acting as the sheriff of the ruler and investigating reports of unaccounted for survivors appearing and working with them to usurp the ruler but dying at the end while giving them a fighting chance. Then the second movie could deal with the resolution of Battleworld and the ruler's defeat and the reformation of the multiverse. You could even make an argument that Thor 5 would be between the two Avenger Secret War films and focus on the Thor corps.

@@TheBLSh0w That would be a lot to fit in to Two hours brah, especially since it has been shown nine minutes of the movie is just Deadpool catching the audience up on the past five years of his life including the loss of Vanessa brah. Not to mention brah that the TVA is involved brah and brah there is all the shenanigans involving Deadpool getting his new costume brah and on screen time he has with Pete brah.
Very few of these films feel like they will have any multiverse angle whatsoever, except maybe a brief credit's scene

If both Avenger movies a filmed and edited together as one large movie cut in half then it would make sense to have them book end a single year.
Shang-Chi 2 is the movie that I want and need the most before Secret Wars. That first movie is my favorite from the Multiverse Saga, and Simu has been out of the Marvel spotlight for too long. Need more of his character and more of that world.
Crazy how different the slate is compared to a few years ago...I cant wait for secret wars though.

I'd be happy if that's what we got. Maybe the X-Men movie is a proper send off to the old cast before their annihilated in Secret Wars. No way Marvel releases a two part Secret Wars in the same year. A perfect project in-between would be something like a Battleworld that looks into different corners of that landscape.
I know they have to build to Secret Wars, but I don't want to wait that long for them!!
