My Suggestion for next time:
Spirit of the Pharaoh. You need "The First Sarcophagus", "The Second Sarcophagus" and "The Third Sarcophagus" to summon him. Could be interesting.

Also if I remember correctly one of the ghosttrick XYZs has an alt win condition if you have enough materials on it, that could be a fun challenge, altho maybe not as hard.
There's other hard to get out stuff like Spirit of the Pharaoh but I like Trell too much to put him trough that.
Whatever you (we) put him trough, I'm sure it will be awesome, can't wait for more parts!!

I like Trell’s mentality about “bad cards”. I’m basically the same way.
Ditto. Its honestly my mentality when playing card games in general. Might lead to me losing more often than not but I just love using cards that are either non-Meta af or archetypes that can be fun if you are willing to put the work in to make them competitive with the cookie cutter tourney decks.

I had someone at a local tournament try to run that and had to be told that the card hadn't been released. But he was also just finding out by the judge that pot of greed and graceful charity are banned

I’ve tried summoning fushio Richie before back in high school and when the zombie deck came out in the 5D days. Summoned it once out of 20 duels but still lost. Synchros were just too strong during that time. Next challenge for a card I’m picking is summon zushin the sleeping giant. Great content though guys! 👍

Another great segment! I definitely love this one a lot because this pretty much describes half my deck projects are trying to build a deck that could play jank old cards and actually use them.
My favorites are: Masked Beast Des Gardius, Aitsu, Maximum Six, Mystic Swordsman LV 6 and the Knights of Jackal (Those two actually have okay effects)
Congrats to Trell on his victory. Definitely would love to see more of these with some other classic or bad cards with those good bits of Yugioh history and your personal history with the game and the given cards. Looking forward to that!

This is the best example of trying to break a card and it actually working. I love this idea for a segment and hope for more in the future. Speaking of ideas for this (I don't know if this would meet any criteria but I'll suggest it anyway) but winning a duel with Cracking Dragon. It's this interesting lv 8 machine monster from Code of the Duelist with no summoning restrictions but a weak burn effect that cares about monster levels. Look it up if you're curious.

I always love deck building challenges. Even better when the builder has such an amazing mentality to these weird cards.
Can't wait for Trell to play with one of Yugioh's oldest "archetypes": King's Knight, Queen's Knight, and Jack's Knight. Throw in Arcana Knight Joker while you're at it.

I love this mindset. Yeah, the meta stuff is in the meta for a reason, but I feel like so many potentially interesting cards and combos and tech possibilities get overlooked in favor of what's optimal. There's a lot of really cool and weird and potentially powerful stuff you could do with cards that aren't given the time of day, and it's fun to experiment with those kinds of cards to see what you can come up with!
I agree with Trell. There are soo many cards people don't care about, but might do amazing in the right hands.

My Suggestion: Dark Master - Zorc. Level 8 Ritual, so super easy to summon, can potentially blow up the opponent's entire field with its effect. Can maybe even run some die-related cards for more shenanigans.
That's hard to do. But the only problem really is too freaking the dice effect
I love the artwork on Fushioh Richie but I never understood why a spellcaster had to bring him out. Still think it would be cool to get support for the card to make it more playable.
It's because Fushio Richie is a lich. A lich is basically a sorcerer who used dark magics to bind themselves to the mortal realm and conquer death. I guess think Voldemort, but more physically corrupted than he ended up in his revival.

Flying fortress SKYFIRE, That was an awesome card to me as a kid, that just so happened to be nearly impossible to summon, even with it's later support.
Love this concept as well as the card chosen for the first episode. And yes I did summon Fusioh Richie in a couple of actual duels😂

That was great to watch, ive never even heard of those cards before and I love the process of how Trell made the deck around those two cards. This was fun and educational about deck building. I definitely wanna see more of this.

IT would be really cool to see Trell build a deck around my favorite bad monster - The Big Saturn. A friend of mine said it might work with Orcust, but with Mermaid and Harp out of the picture, I'm not familiar enough with them to see anything flourish like that. The Big Saturn's definitely something I'd love to see Trell work with!
Okay, I think you guys have made me the happiest black man on the planet I thought Yugioh was dead to my race but it appears that I have been in the dark. It seems like Yu-Gi-Oh have forgotten about the classic cars I do not really liking all the new rules and all the new cars with such complicated summoning requirements I remember in the beginning that Yu-Gi-Oh promised that every generation of cars would be compatible with any generation of cars no matter how old or how new but it appears that they've lost sight of that so I stopped playing years ago. But I found your channel and I'm a fan I've been watching and I will continue to watch. I really love this idea you guys are happy about the building deck segment because I have a deck that I have owned for over 10 years, it is an eclectic deck it has no monster theme nor is it catered to any one type of card as far as groups dragons, zombies, Beast, it is actually a deck I built from scratch. Now That I Found You guys I'm going to make a video playing my dick it is a Yu-Gi-Oh GX car-related deck. and in my opinion, is one of the most powerful defense decks ever created buy a low-rank Yu-Gi-Oh player. Later today I am going to write down each and every card that is contained within my dick and I will send you a list so that you may rebuild this day if you do happen to have the cards and I would love to see you challenge someone or play against your friends because with my dick you should not even have to attack not one time because it is a deck destruction deck and it's designed to destroy your opponent's deck in three different ways. My Life Point drainage, by deck discard, and heavy signs of payment on your opponent's part in order to engage in battle. I hope you get this message but if not I am going to make the video anyway because you guys have just inspired me to thank you very much.

i remember having fushioh richie in a zombie deck as a kid, but i never summoned it properly lol. i would just sacrifice and summon it, normally. i feel like as kids, we all just played cards however we wanted haha!
Very good editing all around in this video. I just started watching your videos but the relaxing calm approach to just chilling while talking about cards is nice to watch 8:05 is a great example. Maybe a lot of people don't like it but I do.

I loved this and can't wait to see what future cards will be picked. So many to choose from each with their own ups and downs. If anything I'd like to see how Tierra, Source of Destruction would be summoned and while it may seem easy to summon it's more about finding this card that can prove to be a challenge.
I mean it's either that or FINAL. I'm happy with just about anything XD

I've seen a Fusioh come out legit once. I tried it back in the day and couldn't do it. The only video that you did that there was a guy at my locals that probably got him out against me like 4 times or more was Exodia Necross
quick tid bit for tenyi, the banish effect for grave tenyi cannot be negated by doomking because in banish, its no longer a zombie

A deck with a lot of Level 4 Spellcaster Spam for "Performage Trapeze Magician" and Zombies would be the best way for the condition imo.

Idea for next time: Black Luster Solider - Envoy of the Evening Twilight. It needs an equal amount of light and dark monsters in grave to summon and banishes all of one of those types to come out, he's a pretty good card and has some helpful stuff to use when summoned.

I want to see “Final Countdown” actually fulfill its win condition. Another one would be “Destiny Board”... that was my favorite card to throw out back on the playground. The only monster that comes to mind is “Thousand Eyes Idol” with the condition that it makes the winning LP blow.

Ok ideas before Trell builds his deck, He
could run cards that turns creatures into zombies most of those are zombies. Also run some zombie buffs, so basiclly the zombie structure deck which was a really desent structre deck when it came out. In fact the store I used to play at in Los Angeles area had a rule that e Zombie World structure deck and the Spellcasters Command structure deck couldn't be bought off the shelf and played in tournaments!

Interesting attempt. I think I wouldve gone with spellcaster searching and then just hyper buffing Dezard so he cant be overpowered and gets his job done.
