    Eve Echoes
is a next-gen mobile spaceship MMO game developed by NetEase Games and based upon hallmark EVE Online design principles. In EVE Echoes, players are able to participate in a massive space sandbox environment mirroring EVE Online, while forming alliances with other pilots from across the galaxy to shape the game’s persistent universe.
    Eve Online
Set more than 21,000 years in the future, the background story of Eve Online explains that humanity, having used up most of Earth's resources through centuries of explosive population growth, began colonizing the rest of the Milky Way
is a space-based, persistent world massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by CCP Games. Players of Eve Online can participate in a number of in-game professions and activities, including mining, piracy, manufacturing, trading, exploration, and combat (both player versus environment and player versus player). The game contains a total of 7,800 star systems that can be visited by players.

I think the main mistake people make with Eve games is focusing too much on the game itself. These are sandbox games, and the content mainly comes from other people. If you think about the real life sandbox, it's not really exciting, is it? Sand hmmm.... People complain that the sand is too rough or has stones or wrong color, the border is too high, the sand is too damp or too dry. Or a dude in the corner sells gold colored sand. You get focused on that, frustrated and quit missing the whole point.
The point is that the sandbox gathers like-minded people. You gather with those people, say hi. Then you look at what you have in the sandbox and just accept it as it is. Then employ your imagination and have fun playing imaginary castles, raceways or dragons with your friends... It started raining? You can complain or you can now build a moat around your castle!
Eve is a thinkers game and if you expect it to hold your hand and be spoonfed, it's not a game for you. You have some basic content to start, but afterwards you have to create your own. Focus on the people around you, find a sandbox with likeminded friends, be it builders, destroyers or diggers and enjoy other people. That's what I think eve is - a toolset to enjoy reaching fictional goals with other people. Don't get angry at the shovel :D That's the mistake Benzie did I think. He focused too much on the game itself and never stuck around long enough to form a bond with his corporation. And without this bond you get bored quick and quit. That's why I never stuck around in EO. I was a solo highsec miner and mission runner... And my best memories where from the one time I joined a corp and defended a pos...
Thanks for being unique Sheev and bringing alternative thoughts on this game and life! Keep it up! I'm always looking forward to your vids. Been a while since we got some jams though ;)

The difference between a Game and a journey, Same with most survival MMO's people get attached to the "Things" they have and miss the point of the journey, i can grab a space game and finish it in 25-30 hours and say "Well that was fun" or i can have long lasting memories and friendships and actual life lessons from a game of this magnitude. The trailer for Eve online sums it up perfectly "This game..... You're not ready" this hits hard when you play past the barriers, the pit falls, the peaks and troughs and the agony of losing what you cant afford to lose. To come back and provail, becaome stable earn some isk, buy a new toy... show it off, then lose it all again because YOU MADE A MISTAKE! Thats the point. Its like chess only prettier haha. Awesome video man! Love your content and this one got me in the feels for sure lol.

I've played Eve-Online since 2004 (with the odd burn-out break) but I never stopped because of a new mechanic or I thought that Eve had got ''worse''. It has only got better and, when the developers change some aspect of the game, then your only recourse is to adapt. At the age of 61 you might be forgiven for thinking this gets harder to do but it's this aspect of Eve that keeps me playing as a capsuleer. Eve keeps my brain engaged and working. It never ends and that's it's beauty. When I tried other games like Elite (as it is now) I was wowwed by the graphics but disappointed by the lack of community and dealing with real-life people is a game in itself lol. I pray the servers are still up when I go down for the last time (or up, I'd prefer to be cremated). Fly safe o7.

Well you put it nicely, and I feel exact the same way.
The uniqueness eve has is beyond any other space game. And even if I heard that people didn’t like some aspects of this game.
I never felt it was bad enugh to quit for.

I remember trying this game (eve online) in 2003, when they had some sort of open beta before the launch. Back then you could explore space and the only real danger were NPCs, especially in nullsec. I came back to the game at the end of 2004 and couldn't believe how different the experience was. Suddenly there were other players trying to kill you and steal your stuff at every corner. Still I played it for some 13 years, took part in some epic nullsec stuff and had a blast, met many cool people and enjoyed myself. But eventually I realized playing this game takes way too much time out of my daily schedule, especially if you want to spend isk on both subscription time and on ingame gear. So unless you find a very profitable way to earn a lot of isk you have to be prepared to spend ungodly amounts of hours grinding lesser forms of income.

Pretty much the same buddy I was in Atlas in their pomp played for about 15 years then had kids and now play Echoes which trims it all down nicely. I sat down once and worked out how long it would take to train every skill in EVE online and it was around 25 years and I’d imagine it’s a lot more now it’s a lifetime commitment really so I would encourage young new players to think about that when deciding on which one to play as advise.

I like to think I'm a team player - who will sacrifice ships, time and effort for the greater good of not only my team but the entire community. Pay to win isn't really a thing, I pay to enjoy the better features of the game and for the blingiest of ships.
Eve echoes does need some fixes and some solutions sheev has come up with himself, however you play the games you enjoy with the people you get along with.
Find your own solution to the issues in game and you could have more fun than you think. :)

I played this game for 6 months the 1st time and a few times after. I used to love mining for some reason, but then it all hit me at once. There is no skill in this game, and you dont even need graphics to play. It all comes to down to what you know about your rock, paper, scissors game and how fast you can process the information and counter it. Dont get me wrong, Eve is a very neat game and has its niche for certain people. I am close to one of those players, but as a newer player who wants to have fun and not learn the big spreadsheet of information, it wont be much fun. You can do alot of neat things tat dont involve pvp, but you are then limited to the safe zones. I do think everyone should at least try the game though, because it is one of a kind and I could see logging on and losing track of time fast.

Waiting for hours hanging out in chat while my ship was autopiloting from A to B, the long route of course because right at the gate of the short route a bunch of guys is camping all day to shoot anybody down just because it's possible there for gameplay reasons. More hours in chat, planning, talking because some action may come or not. Mining with my corp, somebody brought in some big ass vessel that provides a bonus for everybody. But in the end it's just waiting and talking again. Waiting for months until basic skills have leveled enough as you are not supposed to fly any bigger ships unless you played the game for a year or so at least. If something big is happening than it comes fast and is usually overwhelming for anybody without years of experience. These are memories I have from Eve. I doubt that it can be played in a casual way. Well you could become a miner for some big corp or so. Not my thing. Btw. asymetrical ships just suck, it's beyond me how anybody can like this, it's against all nature! Elegance and harmony is is always about symmetries and patterns, even if not obvious at the first glance.

"there is no pay2win" - "[p2w], sure, it is, to some decree" either there is or there isnt. but it is obviously p2w. and that a good player can still beat a bad player that has paid money, is no argument for p2w. Don't get me wrong. I love Eve and somehow i can live with that in Eve. But it is p2w even in a very pure form. Its not pay to play or some milder form. The more money you spend, the more advantage you can get. If you could spend infinite money, you could probably rule all 0.0

    • @AHSHEEVED
      @AHSHEEVED  Před 10 měsíci

Well with infinite money you can buy your way to any end goal in anything.
      But not in eve…
Hard to build a Titan with max skills, max x-type. Man nanocore… and think you will rule Null..
      But I get your point.
I have a video talking about definitions of pay to win where I bring this up.
And even the most obscure stuff can be regarded pay to win.
But eve is less pay to win than most games.

oh 100% agreed on eve online its an awesome game an echoes was good in its early stages (day 1 till about start of year 2) then became just a credit card swiping simulator with ai controlled pve ships. eve online is bad ass eve echoes used to be but is not anymore is the short of it really as someone whos played both sides alot at this point. also i hate to say it but onlines ships look better then echoes models do. the nanocores okay those look nicer then alot of skins you can get in online but the ship models themselves im sorry its no contest eve onlines got that in the bag.
