I do think the devs missed a trick when they didn’t give each faction a bonus if picked I.e. Amarr pilots get a laser bonus or minmatar get extra speed/agility etc
I always thought the same thing! make that faction and even sub faction choice more meaningful
Ye well even in eve online the race you picked never hade any bonuses. Personally i think that would be a nice thing.

(Re)watching SOE story while having breakfast (different timezones). About the interaction with the old universe: I'm not sure what I would do, since we mostly know about New Eden it could be somewhat like a new universe for us to explore (if there is something left to explore), besides that, since the gate collapse, things could have changed a lot so I'm somewhat curious to know how is the old universe currently, how would people be living? would there even be people left? would their technology be as advanced as in our universe? maybe even more? at least staying there for some time to observe this kind of things could be interesting.

It’s from various sources. Much is from eve online that has more in depth lore than echoes.
