Red Bull is really good but then again, is it their fault that it makes the sport boring? You could just as easily approach it from the other side and say that the rest of the field needs to step up their game to make it more difficult for Red Bull to win a race. If Red Bull can hire a rocket scientist to design their car, so can Ferrari and Mercedes.
And while Hamilton wasn't as dominant as Verstappen in a single season, he still has like 40 more race wins than Max. If Max wants to become first in race wins, he still needs to win almost every race this season and over half next season. So about 5 seasons. And that is also partly because there are more races per season as there were in the time Hamilton won everything. In fact, if you look at their respective win rates they are about the same.

Are you fking r-t@rded?? Dominance and title fights are two different things, yes 2014-2016 was 3 merc 1-2s but they were fun to watch because it was close and intense, 2014 was decided at Yas marina(final race), 2015 was decided at COTA(Final race), 2016 was decided at Yas marina(final race). 2017 and 2018 are literally known as Silver vs Red, sebastian gave lewis and merc a run for their money in these 2 seasons. The 2 seasons of actual "dominance" were 2019 and 2020. And if you're saying 2014-2016 was merc 1-2, atleast the two teammates were competing and merc didnt have an incompetent 2nd driver who's only job is to make verstappen win and get 2nd place in the championship without competition. I feel like a lot of the whinging about Red Bull and Max is predominantly coming from Brits who are still salty about Abu Dhabi '21. And since a lot of the international F1 discussion takes place on platforms run by the British, the first thing new fans see when trying to get into the sport is people complaining about Red Bull, Max, and domination, and that just turns people off from the sport.

The sport is so corporate and PC now. Also there are too many silly rules and regulations that don't make the sport any better. Too many boring street circuits. The cars are too big, heavy, quiet, ugly and uninspiring. They are so refined, aero-dependent and computer-based, they are a bore to watch in comparison to the nimble, screaming V10s... and even the V8s. Even further than that, watch Senna's qualifying laps at Silverstone '91. It looks terrifying. You can clearly see he was on the very edge. The car was sparking and so alive. The older cars required more from the driver. They may be slower but they look faster than the modern cars. I can go onto other things but I'll conclude with this - F1 seems to be doing OK financially, but it could be so much better.

Seven past or future world champions on the grid: Lauda, K.Rosberg, Prost, Senna, Mansell, Jones, Piquet... and also solid drivers like Berger, De Angelis, Warwick, Patrese, Arnoux.... ANYONE could win in their good day. Early 90's we had Prost vs. Senna and late 90's Hakkinen vs Schumacher. Sure those were head and shoulders above the rest of the grid but at least they battled eachother. Then were had prime Kimi at McLaren, Montoya, Alonso challenging Schumacher.
I completely agree with you. Now it's unwatchable. Not only because of Max's superiority, but it's all very sterile nowadays. The drivers don't have the same character and they look pretty much like politically correct boy band members.
Hate all you want, but I only watch classic old F1 races these days. Last years' TOCA was the last F1 race I watched... it was about as inspiring as a sausage supper.... and I've been watching every race since 1983. Not blaming Max who's amazing... but the sport is dying.

The 2021 regulations being designed against low-rake cars is a myth. In fact, aerodynamic experts back then didn't agree on how these floor cuts would pan out. The goal of these new regulations foremost were to keep ever-improving laptimes in check and guarantee safety, especially with the tyres.
Also, you don't really come up with a solution other than one that has proven not to work and make F1 even more boring, which is dropping the cost cap. And let us not forget that if you take Max out of the equation the grid has never been so tight.

Let's just say this, if teams are fighting for p2, p3, honestly many times it's just for p3, p4, in a world championship, why is the championship even conducted? The races were more interesting and competitive when Mercedes was dominating. But take away nothing from red bull for doing an incredible car design that has a significant performance gap over rival cars right from the 2022 season.

atleast with mercedes it wasn't just hamilton at the top, he was still challenged by drivers like rosberg and vettel. the problem with red bull dominating is that perez cannot compete with max in perfomance and that leaves max winning every race with zero competition

At national level football, you often have 3 leagues playing during the season: A, B, C. Depending on the results, some drop to the lower league while others go up.
In F1, you have the same three leagues, but they are all racing at the same time and on the same track. Depending on the results, some "go up" while others "drop down" - but they still race together. Anyone who watches F1 will likely have favourite teams and drivers in each of these "leagues". That's why F1 is one of the least competitive sports (on the top) while being one of the most fun and engaging to watch.
What's truly killing F1 are Hybrid V6s and Americans.

The only fans who are losing interest because of a "team domination", are all the fans who just showed up with DTS. Teams have been dominating since the beginning.
    Since 2000
    Mercedes 8 wins consecutive
    Ferrari 4 wins consecutive
    RedBull 4 wins consecutive
    RedBull 3 wins consecutive
    Renault 2 wins consecutive
Only McLaren, Ferrari, and Brawn have gotten 1 off championships.
    So. Welcome to F1 everyone.

Red Bull Racing's current run is 2 years Manufacturer (Max won in the driver's title in '21 but Mercedes got the Manufacturer's title)...
So when you say unprecedented.. you are not counting:
    1) the 8 years of Mercedes dominance that preceded the Max Verstappen Era, or
    2) the 4 year Vettel Era before that, or
    3) Ferrari's 8 year run in '99 to 08 with Schumacher, or
    4) Renault's 5 year run in the 90's, or
    5) Honda's 6 year run in the 80's, or
    6) Ferrari's 4 year run in the late 70s, or
    7) Ford Cosworth's 7 year's dominance before that, or....
Other than THOSE bigger and longer runs, I guess Red Bull's current run is .... unprecedented.
I would argue that, if Formula One survived those previous LONGER dynasties, the sport will be just fine as the current one runs its course.
The title does make for good clickbait so, I guess... get your paper, bu.
