After dealing with this issue for a while it was time to fix both. The key fobs or remotes for the GMC Yukon just wear out over time. They also don't have the range they once had. Replacing the key for or remote on the Yukon, Tahoe, Silverado or Sierra is an easy process and today I will show you how to program them. These are cheap and easy to replace. The other annoying issue is something that happens to those who have the Electronic HVAC controls. On cold mornings the knob that controls the ac does not respond. When you try to turn up the temperature it goes the opposite way. Sometimes it is not responsive at all. This is common and really annoying on cold mornings. This is a simple fix as well. The contacts get dirt and dust in them over the years and need to be cleaned. Once you clean them they will work like new again. This AC control fix will be the same for all digital controls for Yukon, Tahoe, Silverado and Sierra.

I went back and forth deciding which fobs to get for my 1500hd here recently. Didn’t have any at all when I got it. I bought some cheap original style from Amazon and I absolutely could not get them to program. And they did have batteries. I threw them into the void of my back alley. Then ordered Genuine GM ones and they worked with the quickness. I have the boost ones for my SS and they worked fine as well.

This suggested video was on point for me. Ive just been slowly turning the heat up in the opposite direction for like 5 years. lol And i have the same keyfob to and i also need to reset it cause its actually randomly activates my ac. Just a tip if your having a problem with the keyfob and a button not working you can just open it take the battery out and then clean the corrosion off the circuit board. just need a q tip and some alcohol. for awhile i was bothered by it not unlocking sometimes. The way i found that out was because i looked up why one of my windows wouldnt roll down. so i was thinking that may be why my button on the fob wasnt eiter. It was filthy so i cleaned it and problem solved

The reason the temp control acts up like that is because the blower motor resistor is getting old or the blower motor itself another good way to fix that to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes that way when you reconnect everything the computer recalibrates everything it'll start back working fine ......I have a 2003 Yukon Denali with 314000 miles had it for 3yr now lol
