      Right with you buddy. My all black P9 with night sights is great. The barrel at 3.5 inch if great. I can wrap all my fingers on the grip. Checks all the boxes.

    Thanks for watching & commenting.
    I know the Kahr “P” series are the premium models.
    The pistols I have are the Value series so they have some rough machining marks, which can be fixed with a dremel tool, buffing wheel, & polishing compound.

    I have had two Kahrs for some years now, CM9 and CW380. The 9 has always functioned perfectly, the 380 took a little fiddling with at first. Get a +1 magazine spring and follower from MagGuts for each for a slight capacity increase, and night sights are nice, too. I think that the long, buttery smooth trigger pull, like a fine revolver, will really work to your advantage, if you ever felt the need to draw it, because you shouldn't have a negligent discharge, you have to be deliberate to pull through the stroke. I think it makes me a better shot, rather than a short, light trigger pull. Practice and dry fire.

      The +1 spring and follower for the magazine came from MagGuts, and the tritium night sight came from Kahrs, on their website.

    Ive been carrying a kahr pm9 for 20 years now. Several thousands of rounds run through it. I was going to get the iwi masada slim as a larger newer ccw. But kahr just released $500 new optic ready double stack pistol coming june 2024 that can take sig p365 and hellcat mags without an adapter. So I'll probably be waiting till june for that . But I will always have my old pm9 as a back or summer pocket carry.

    I've owned three CM9'S since 2011. Flawless function and slightly smaller footprint then my 365. However, not the edc for those who feel the need for 15 plus rounds.

      The Kahr X9 double stack 9mm is coming out soon. That could be an option for those wanting a higher capacity magazine.

    I've had a CM9 for a while. It benefits greatly with a reduced trigger spring from M*Carbo and a grip sleeve. Also got a +1 plate from Galloway Precision. The trigger isn't my favorite but once used to it plenty accurate for me.

    Hi, can you elaborate on the CW380 carbon fiber finish already wearing off when you opened it? Was it just flaking off? I have one on the way and this is the first report I've heard of the finish having any kind of issues so now I'm concerned that there are durability issues. Did Kahr offer to refinish it with no questions asked? I'm assuming you had to send it in to them - did they cover all associated costs?

    • @Luv2Huvr
      @Luv2Huvr  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes, the carbon fiber finish was flaking off when I took the gun out of the box. When I contacted Customer Service they told me I could have it re-finished and choose any pattern they offer. I got the plain black finish.
      Out of the box this pistol looked more like a factory reject than a new firearm.
      Also this CW380 had more un finished machining marks on the barrel and slide than my 1st Kahr CW380 Pistol.
      I did have to pay $ to return the gun for refinishing. While I returned it I paid for the Trijicon 3 dot night sights to be installed by the factory.
      While it was being completed I was contacted by customer service to ask if I would accept a $50 discount because they accidentally scratched the slide while installing the new sights.
      I tried to counter their offer with saying if I they would install the new sights at cost I would agree to accepting the damaged slide.
      They turned me down. I got the new night sights installed on a new slide.
      Other than that hiccup I was satisfied with the customer service interaction.
      I will tell you it did take a good 200 rounds before this thing would run reliably. And a couple of hours running a Dremel tool, polishing wheel and buffing compound.

      @shane6154 Před 5 měsíci

      Thanks for the prompt response. Yikes, that all sounds.... not good and shame on Kahr. I knew I was taking a chance with ordering it but I'll be all in less than $250 and I've been eyeing one for months now so I decided to take the chance. I went with the Carbon Fiber instead of the all black cerakote for the same price because I liked the look and the Carbon Fiber models are supposed to come with the upgraded steel 3 dot sights. Do you recall if it was just a standard black frame under the carbon fiber finish? Others seem to infer that the grip texture is more aggressive with the carbon fiber frames@@Luv2Huvr

    • @Luv2Huvr
      @Luv2Huvr  Před 5 měsíci

      @@shane6154
      I believe it’s a standard black polymer frame that’s hydro dipped. I don’t recall the texture of the grip being any different. I just liked the pattern design so I could quickly tell the two identical models apart.
      I do own a HiPoint C9 that has the dipped digital desert camo pattern and that thing is a champ. Never had a problem with it. As much as people rag on those it’s built like a brick. And it’s reliable.
