@@alexbalru8930 Not true, that depends a lot of the region. Average commercial salsa (mostly known in all latam) is in 4/4. Salsa in 3/4-6/8 and such are from regions like Colombia, Cuba, RD, PR and Venezuela

The only problem with this groove is that it’s still sort of a “stutter” groove in 7/8. It’d be way easier to flow with and dance to if it utilized a typical 7/8 grouping like “1 2 1 2 1 2 3” with the back beat always falling on the on the third “1”. So a basic monophonic groove would look “bu t bu t ka t t” and then just adding more texture and groove from there.
