Rooting for Mistral and open source.
They should use AI models to remove the background noise of the interview 😮💨
a stupid analog noise gate manufactured in the 60s will do the trick
A big bravo for Mistral! I am cheering for their success globally. By the way, I think the model itself is really awesome for custom use cases.
Arthur is a real Mensch
What's special about the Mensch?

Great questions! I wish this interview was longer
Will be interesting to see how Europe fairs as the technology goes from math & science heavy early stages, where their educational systems can be an advantage, to productization and commercialization, where the US ecosystem confers different advantages. I hope Mistral can join DeepMind in generating an ecosystem in Europe.
Europe should simply ban American services to develop their own. Thats how China succeded.
Deepmind was a UK company before google bought it up. Europe has been on the bleeding edge of Ai tech start up the problem is they sell their companies early on for cheap.
Same thing happened to skype when microsoft bought it and microsoft really failed to build skype up and that lead to discord taking over.
One positive thing about the french is that they are a lot more reluctant of selling of their companies. Meaning that we most likely will keep this Ai company.
Excellent interview.
I think the bads guys have already got control of OpenAI
Great thing to see!
What about Amazon titan models? 😅
Mistral is at the top (at least for European AI)
Yeah but OpenAI puts safeguard on its models, so you cannot ask harmful questions like design a gun or design a bomb. Whereas if the model is on you PC you can lift the safeguards as you want.

How about thus guy learns to not cut the interviewee while he is speaking?

Open will win
Is he ready to pay 60% taxes on his success?
ultimately Mistral is not going to go any where I am afraid
What makes you think that?

Mistral is far behind. They are getting killed by Meta.
another professional question dodger
I'm not sure he is dodging questions on purpose. He has his talking points he wanted for this interview and sorta stuck with that. He has done other interviews but those are typically much longer. If he knew he would only get a few minutes he would stick to what he wanted to get out.
AI think good is bad and bad is good.
And you are dumb enough to think you are smart.
