    You should really consider getting yourself a variable speed strobe light. This will allow you to adjust the strobe to match the piece that you are working on and it will look like it is standing still. You could adjust the speed and make it look like it is turning slowly in one direction and you will be able to judge your work without having to stop the lathe in order to see the progress of your work.

    • @talexb
      @talexb Před 4 lety +9

      Yeah .. as a professional engineer, I could see at least four things wrong there -- 1. open toed sandals, 2. missing safety cover on chain saw, 3. no ear protection, 4. no eye protection. Personally, I would also wear gloves to protect my hands from the vibration from the chain saw, and ideally also wear some sort of protective leg wear -- safety pants or chaps. A mask would also be good against the sawdust.
      A smart friend of mine received training on using a chainsaw when he was a teenager: he was told, "A chainsaw is like a wild animal that wants to bite you, and your job is to keep that wild animal under control." A chainsaw will go through whatever it touches, wood, metal, concrete, or you. Be very respectful of those high speed teeth.

      По цвету похоже на сандал, но это конечно очень дорого.
      Но даже если это простой бук, у них в стволе, он стоит от 1700 до 2000 $ за 1 куб. метр. Потому что этот ствол в возрасте 50 - 60 лет.
