- Right here, we have the most recent release by Mattel Creations, the Masters Of The Universe Origins Night Stalker! In this video, I'll go over the boxart and figure and do some comparisons with its good counterpart, Stridor! This looks like the first Mattel Creations Origins release to not sell out right away, so let's see if it's worth the full price. Custom Swift wind still the best pony of em all even though looks robotic compared to a vintage one that looked like a real horse with hair. Yeah the box change is a big improvement even though U can not actually C da toy. Hope MAttlel reissues the Spydor that thing still looks amazing.

Been waiting forever for Night Stalker to come out. I purchased it as soon at it was available. I just got an email today from Mattel that they shipped it out. I live in Ohio so it won't take long to get here. Mattel ships from Pennsylvania. Great review as always !!

Great review! I only ordered one, and im hoping i dont end up regretting it. Id have rather had 2 than 2 of Stridor, but couldnt justify the cost after having only paid $5 for my 2nd Stridor.

When I saw the Night Stalker prototype I was pretty disappointed with the color, and hoped that Mattel would make the right choice with the gold. I have to say that the final model is a worthy representation of the 80s one, just like Stridor. The box is also very beautiful, with those fantastic illustrations. The only flaw is the bridle, because I don't like that it's the same color as Stridor's. I would really like to buy Night Stalker, but for an Italian like me it is too expensive, due to shipping costs and customs taxes, especially if I think that I paid 20 euros for Stridor and that the two horses are identical. I'll try my luck and wait for a price drop. I hate these Mattel Creations exclusives.
I agree but they did mess up Stridor's color. The orange legs are far too bright, they're supposed to be a little bit brownish
For your situation, it might be easier to just make one out of a Stridor. Hopefully, they stay on the website and they go on sale... only time will tell brotha...

On the other hand, there are no alternatives, because if it were to sell out on the Mattel website you will only be able to find it on eBay at an even higher price. I understand well the economic reasons why Mattel chose to sell the last pieces of the Origins series on Mattel creation, but it remains undeniable that by doing so it penalized all fans outside of America, due to customs taxes. We'll see how the situation evolves, just like you said, brotha 😉

@@knuthamsun6106 I agree with you. That's why I specified a good interpretation of the original and not identical, which is what happened to the entire Origins line, much more saturated and bright colors and similar but not identical design to the original 80s ones.

Tbh I've thought about it but tbh , I'm trying to keep my displays with ALL the origins vehicles and palysets then expanding with other origins type things. I'll buy classics to customize n if mattel won't release it for origins then I'll use it like that big red dragon 😅

I passed on this one. To be honest, I had a hard time caring enough to bother. I admit though, I've never cared for repaints much. I would have been more interested if I had bought Snake Mountain, but I passed on both that and Eternia due to limited to space issues in my apartment. One of these days, I hope to have my own home, and if that time comes, the whole place will be filled with toys.
Well, thankfully, you'll ALWAYS find them on eBay when the tike comes. It might cost more, but at least it's there ...

I'm glad he didn't sell out cause I didn't one yet but I'm sas because him not selling out will make mattel hesitate to give us more. I need the rest of the vehicles. At least the back end of the battle ram and mantisaur so hordak doesn't have to walk anymore.
I live close to where they ship from, but the main thing is that I got my order in within the first minute. They ship them in order. I wish I could just knock on the gate lol. As for it not selling out, they know what happened with Stridor so they shouldn't be surprised. They know when they drop figures that they will sell out n if they drop vehicles that aren't a repaint, I'm sure they will sell out too...
If it was not for the art and that new stand, I would buy a Stridor and hit it with a mad re-paint.

Boss, you will have to forgive me as I am not a completionist. I passed on the Stridor kit initially. Night Stalker is objectively cooler and my baddies need more rides, so this kit gives me pause. Jealous as he77 of your Slime-Stridor. You might consider doing a Mr. Ed style bit (only talks to Man-At-Arms?🤭) or an Eternia style equivalent of a KY derby in May! 🤣 Thx for making me think. I don't care for the plastic free packaging. Especially when Mattel uses that as an excuse to cut plastic from Motu, yet out here selling Barbie's n shit with 100% plastic packaging.
I'd rather get a nice-looking box personally. Especially with motu cause the artwork is ALWAYS amazing.
@@MrHomeArcade I definitely understand that and it's more acceptable when it's coming straight from the manufacturer. When they start doing that full time at retail, there's gonna be issues. Especially with bad QC and the problem of people swapping out figures then returning the altered product. Shopping online from places like Amazon, Walmart, and Target, will become an even bigger problem because you'll never know what you're getting. 😕

Because Mattel wanted to keep the rest of the Origins line sold just by them while selling the branch off lines like the cartoon collection and the turtles of Grayskull line along with random specialty characters in store. . It sucks they did it that way tbh
What do you think about customizing stridor into night stalker? I was able to get them on Clearance
A friend of mine was making me one right before this dropped. I'd say it's not hard but u just have to time the time n do it. Same as all the other customs I have from that horse.

Night Stalker looks way better than Stridor ,and it will be my last Order from MC for Sure ...
