This man will forever hold a special spot in my heart, good luck Sam
dont ruin it it has 69 likes
Gotta be honest, Sam is the major reason I watch these. The 101 videos that I tune in to that don't have him I click out of almost immediately.
Me too.. I hope he shows up or announces 1-2 holiday ones or at least a yearly anniversary episode
Sam you’re not just the voice of 101 facts you’re the heart and soul of it I’m gonna miss your voice on here buddy
Gonna miss you being on here. Been watching these for years and it won’t be the same without ya.
Sam,your the whole reason why I watch these videos...I hope everything is okay..
Same. I’ve tried watching the others and it’s not the same 😭
Not the same at all.. I feel bad nothing against Chris at all just really miss Sam
Gooobye Sam, thank you for the memories
This is gonna be the last new episode of 101 Facts I watch, simply because Sam is no longer gonna be hosting. I have no doubt that Chris will be a good host, but the way Sam would start most episodes with "greetings motherfactors, my name is Sam", how he would say "number twenty two-oo-oo", "Nintendo 64", how he would always reference Jennifer Lawrence in almost every single video (hope you get that date with her soon) and of course the way he would say "number 69" will not be matched.
Sam, thank you for the laughs, the hours of entertainment you brought me and the other motherfactors, and of course, all the facts you would speak to us. Good luck with everything in the future
This. Right here. I'm not tearing up.
Why not give Chris a chance though? Assumptions have caused greatest mistakes
@@historytank5673 like I said in my comment, I have no doubt that Chris will be a good host, but Sam is who I originally listened to. I don't even listen to Metallica anymore since they replaced Jason Newsted with Robert Trujillo (I'm too young to remember Cliff Burton). Good bass player, but he's not Jason
@@historytank5673 it’s nothing personal against Chris. I’m sure he will do fine. But it’s like.. take the classic Star Wars movies. Edit out mark hamel (Luke), and have some other random person fill in for mark hamel. They may be good. But they are not mark hamel.
From here in SW Georgia, USA, I've looked forward to 101 Facts every Saturday for a while. When I started, you had around 400k subscribers and i like watching the numbers grow. I'll miss your voice but I like the Chris videos too. Thank you for the interesting facts interwoven with humor.
Sam, thank you for all the laughs, humor, and knowledge you’ve shared with us. You’ll be missed. But don’t forget about us, and come back every now and then to say hi! We wish you well.
Thanks for all your hard/amusing work over the last 6 years Sam. These are never the same without your voiceovers. Best of luck on your next step mate and thanks once again
The mosquito is the Alaska state bird. They are huge and aggressive!
Sam you made so many of my nights interesting and fun watching and listening to you. All madafacters will miss you, wish you all the best!
Aww man I love this CZcams channel. But I gotta admit is mostly because of ur voice and how you deliver the facts and fun catchy way.. Gonna miss you man.
Aw man you've been my adult equivalent to blue clues Sam, you've learned me so much obscure stuff. We will miss you man!
For those wondering where he got the 2nd largest freshwater lake part, the great salt lake is the only lake ahead of Alaska that does not border Canada.
Not Gonna lie I dont see this channel going anywhere now that Sam's gone, he was literally the iconic voice for 101facts.
Fact 95 is true as an Alaskan that did take that trip, for your 7th grade year it’s a camping trip with two levels. Camper or “toughy” where you can take standard camping supplies as a camper. As a “toughy” you were permitted less supplies/tools,food,etc. in 8th grade it becomes the “survival trip” with both levels.
Fare thee well, Sam! Thank you for every bit of knowledge you gave us over the time we all have spent together. ❤
You are such an incredible host... Your sense of humor is one of the most creative and effortless ones I've encountered on CZcams so far. I'm gonna miss you😭
This is great. I live right in Alaska. I’ve been a fan of this channel for some time. Good job!
Thanks for mentioning the Iditarod. My Great grandpa helped start it and still is heavily involved to this day.
“The signing of Alaska treaty is celebrated on the last Monday of March”
Me who just so happens to be watching his in the last Monday of March 2022: “happy Alaska day from mainland US”
Good luck and fair fortune Sam! You will be missed.
Going to miss you Sam! It's not going to be the same 101Facts without you.
So long Sam, and thanks for all the facts. We'll miss you.
I'm always fascinated how land can be "discovered" by someone when there are people on it already. 🤨

I can't help but feel so sentimental haha. it's truly been a wild ride Sam :)
Same 😢
I watched a whole bunch of these vidoes in quick succession and at one point Sam's voice became my inner monologue. It was a blessing and a curse. Good luck with your next ventures, Sam!
That two day survival test sounds reasonable, but I think the best thing to come out of Alaska is Ranch dressing.
So long and thanks for all the Fish? Sam, you icon. Of course your last line would be an awesome qoute. Brilliant and thank you.
Excellent video! Also could you do 101 facts about Arizona?
I am sadden to see you go Sam
I learnt so many things from
See you Space Cowboy
Alaska was discovered in 1648, 80 years before the one mentioned in the video. Mentioning the opening date and the surname of the Dane in the video, it should be noted that the 22-year-old Dane's name was Ivan Ivanovich Bering, who served under Semyon Ivanovich Dezhnev. And neither this expedition nor the subsequent ones had anything to do with Denmark.
We will miss you Sam, I wish you nothing but the best in the future and hope for a cameo video in the future as well 😁🙏
4:50 shows 1859. It should be statehood in 1959
This was great! Thanks for creating.
Goodbye, I remember watching you 5 years ago.
I saw in a video about Juneau that it has no room for expansion, being surrounded by mountains.
As an Alaskan born person, I can confirm Sam's facts are true. Congrats for being with us, Sam ( ^-^)

Love the video, sorry to see you go Sam! Wish you the best. The looking at a moose from a airplane thing only applies to hunting so you can’t cheat by flying around to find one
There are parts of Alaska that have large mosquitoes. Strange one actually.

I would know I live there
I like Chris, but will miss Sam. I think it's purely a familiarity thing as I started watching nearly 6 years ago now... In fact I remember the day I first watched this channel with the video "101 facts about dreams".
Crazy how time flies, farewell Sam
Please do 101 facts about Metroid
Good luck to you, Sam! 101 Facts has been a highlight of CZcams for me for quite some time, and your voice & personality will be missed. That said, I think there were a couple of missed opportunities here. #1: you should have gone with the "everybody says Number One Hundred and One", as if to celebrate all that you've done for this channel. #2: this video should have been about Jennifer Lawrence.
I remember I was out camping over in the lower peninsula in Michigan and we saw a bald Eagle, no I didn’t get a picture.
101 facts wont be thew same without you sam
Oh no gonna miss you Sam! Best wishes
Tsar Alexander Romanov II sold Alaska to the US because the United States was the first and the only bidder to get away from the British Empire and the was sold for 2 US Cents per acre which totals up to 7.2 Million USD.
I will miss you !
Thanks Sam
Aar, so this was Sam's last 101 facts video.
We will miss you Sam. Thank you 🙂!
Great video but I live in Alaska and multiple things I didn’t know what you said til I read it lol the mispronunciation is funny
