Maine definitely has some teeth, ha! But you are doing fantastic! Your videos are so enjoyable to watch. Bummer about the camp shoe and the zipper on the hammock. How many pairs of shoes are you planning to use? I think most people use about 4-5 pairs. I'm so glad you had good weather for the Bigelows. Those views are absolutely gorgeous! But the Sobos I watched last year only saw a white wall of fog from the viewpoints. But they saw plenty of other good views, so I guess it was ok.
You are in my most favorite area of Maine right now. I am excited to vicariously hike this section with you. Coming from Georgia, have you ever been to this area of the country before? I am close to your age and planning a future AT thru hike myself. My excitement is to discover the beauty of the south, because I have seen too little of it. It's the heat that scares me the most. 😊 Maine can get so much hotter than you would think though....
I come up to Portland once a year to play in a golf tournament with Hannaford foods. But never been on trail up here until now. Maine is beautiful but the trails are very tough. Hard to look around and enjoy it when you’re looking at your feet the whole day.

Good decision on camping where there is known water...water for two meals that you do not have to haul
Amen to that. I use the FarOut app but sometimes the water sources shown on the app are dry.
