MakeBlock mBot 2 : Playing with the built in programs

The mBot didn't take long to build and was good fun. I really think the design has improved. Once built I wanted to try out some of the built-in programs.
The obstacle avoidance seemed to hit walls at angles however the line follower and joystick program were excellent

How does the line follower work? I have the exact same robot as you and I have the same sheet to place the mbot on to make it follow the line but it keeps going off the chart
