Hello and welcome back. Hope that you all had a fantastic break over Christmas and the New Year.
I thought it would be good to start the new year with some money saving tips on makeup. After a little shopping trip to my local high street I found some great affordable makeup that won't break the bank and a little reminder to me not to overlook what the high street has to offer.
Sharing my favourites this weekend and creating a January fresh makeup with my finds.

Wonderful video which is sending me straight to Amazon for some bargain hunting! Particularly love the green eyeshadow. Browns don’t suit me that much so it’s nice to see lovely alternatives. And please do review more affordable products because so many of us are really struggling at the moment and can’t afford expensive make up. ❤❤❤

"On a budget" is always a great idea. In these times everything is crazy expensive and so make up can be a luxury one can hardly afford. I'm very thankful that you show how to look good with spending less.
I always try to remind myself to just use up what's in my drawers! I don't NEED new stuff.

🤣 and empathising re tummy rumble, I keep a 14-16 space between early supper and late breakfast! Though in freezing weather if I’m going to be outside I do eat first, warming from inside! So enjoyed this, fun and real and great recommendations. I’m still really loving Maybelline Superstay Vinyl ink for lips, really into Keen now and still love Golden, the one you looked amazing in. Welcome back and HNY to you, Caroline. I wasn't aware L'Oreal telescopic was a tubing mascara. Delighted to hear that. The ELF blush is on my list - it looks gorgeous. I bought Max Factors in fused cream blush over Christmas on your recommendation and it is truly special. Lovely and pigmented so a little goes a long way.
I use the got2b for flyaways. With a gentle hand
Happy New Year Caroline. I have been on an intermittent fasting regime for a few years and feel better for it. It certainly gives my tummy a break. I simply fast between dinner night before thru until lunch on the following day. Two meals does it for me.

You could only buy it in a very niche beauty store round the backstreets of Covent Garden. This must have been about 20 years ago, as I remember going to that shop when I first moved to London. Hope 2024 is going well so far xxx

You read my mind about money saving products. I’ve been browsing Sephora lately really questioning the amount of money we spend on this stuff. At the same time, it’s not easy to identify good budget products because you can’t try them out in the store. A series of videos would be great! Good value skincare products would also be interesting.
