There hasn't bud, all manufacturers are either going for higher resolution, or a higher refresh rate - when in reality: most can't push out 4K properly (and yes that includes with the new GPUs), or the added framerate (ie more than 144Hz) is pointless vs the input lag/response time sacrifice.

@@TotallydubbedHD can you explain why that is? I appreciate the honesty. I've seen there videos with the ufo test and input delay tests. They were spot on with the x 27. Nearly identical results to hardware unboxed. It would be nice to see an omen x 27 level of overall input delay on an ips panel.
@@madmilldro2657 in a nutshell, when I reviewed an AW monitor they claimed it was the best, only for two years AFTER their review to update their incorrect figures to show that it was actually slower. I'm not the only one who thinks that RTINGS results are off ;)
@@TotallydubbedHD I didn't think you were lying and I also didnt think they were right. It was a real question if you didnt catch that. read there website and seen there claims and went to reddit and stuff. Appreciate your time to explain and test these. ; )
@@TotallydubbedHD I love when these people get people to buy stuff off claims of 0.5 ms response time! Then on the highest overdrive it's like it always has regular and inverse ghosting and everything else all at once.

@@TotallydubbedHD So if i understand your video its the reactiontime that i need to put down
@@airsplash3436 I have this moniter. Response time is the issue. Move it up a few ms you won’t feel a difference but you will see a change in picture quality (ghosting)
I found it around 350$ new, would u recommand buying?.
Yeah that's a good price I guess!
For me being a guy who was looking for the best monitor for gaming, I still bought this because of how the design of this monitor appeals to me. At first I wasn’t going to buy it because how overpriced this is for everything it comes with. However I liked the design so much compared to other montiors
Fair enough.
This or benq ex2780q? In terms in color and image quality. 27i has better looking and ergonomics tho
The BenQ!
@@TotallydubbedHD Thanks for answer, but i'm really confused, people like this LG panel in other monitors is there really big difference between this and benq?
@@asabovesobelow237 I suggest you watch both reviews and make your own informed decision. I know what I'd personally pick.
@@TotallydubbedHD okay
I am geniunly suprised a 4 year old monitor is still your favorite. Have there not been any significant gains in the industry?
There hasn't bud, all manufacturers are either going for higher resolution, or a higher refresh rate - when in reality: most can't push out 4K properly (and yes that includes with the new GPUs), or the added framerate (ie more than 144Hz) is pointless vs the input lag/response time sacrifice.
@@TotallydubbedHD Cheers mate, thanks for your reply.
@@athalsteinn3745 np! The Acer might be discontinued, if so, get the BenQ instead.

Can anyone confirm if this monitor downscales PS5 4K output to 1440p as select others in this price segment do? Thanks!
PS5 won't output 1440p.
@@TotallydubbedHD I understand. However some displays will downscale the PS5’s 4K output to a 1440p resolution.

Can you review the Lenovo G27-Q20? :)

Do you know if this monitor runs 120hz on a ps5? I’ve been reading about a lot of +120hz monitors not actually running at 120hz on the ps5. Thanks!
No 1440p monitor (in the world) will run at 1440p on the PS5, no. That's because Sony decided not to support 1440p. So don't waste your money on a 1440p, if you plan to buy a monitor for the PS5 - get a 1080p 144hz instead (and that'll probably run at 120hz) - such as the AOC 24G2U
Thanks but I ended finding a website with all the monitors confirmed to run 120hz on the ps5 and this monitor was on the list. Can’t you set this monitor to run at 1080p? And also the ps5 does support 1440p.
@@weswilliams4661 no it doesn't, not from what I saw online. Do as you wish though!
@@TotallydubbedHD the PS5 will run at 1080p at 120hz you just got to put it on performance mode and once you run the game it’ll be at 120hz
@@Skar-I yeah sure 1080p, but then what's the point of buying a 1440p monitor? I don't know if this supports 4K scaling either, so that's another point worth considering.
Can this do 1440 at 120hz through HDMI? How high can the HDMI output on this monitor ?
Depends on your port version. This monitor has HDMI 2.0, so it'll get to 120hz at 1440p; more info on HDMI and DisplayPort, here: czcams.com/video/daHrqIFieBU/video.html
