@@redndeyesWe forget that the average enthusiasts doesn't really care, they are pretty happy with getting an rtr. Those of us who know better really make up a much smaller percentage. An rtr gives you a cheap buy in and lets you upgrade as the budget allows. Still, I think all these companies need to make kit versions, or rollers, that give us more experienced guys the choice of equipment we want to use, mainly electronics. 👍

The Ascent18 checks all the boxes except one - size. It's similar in size to the trx-4m so, a bit big for indoor courses, designed for 24th-scale trucks, and a bit small to tackle outdoor terrain as well as the utb18. Still, a great rig, though 👍 A bit confused about why Redcat colored their parts the way they did. The bronze parts are actually aluminum, ano'd a bronze color and the bronze parts are ano'd black? Just keep that in mind and read the description before ordering. Can't wait to see this upgraded version hit the rocks!
Another CZcamsr has a free mods video where they put the reciever in between the front shock towers but said the battery pack doesn't fit. It was worth a watch because he basically got rid of everything on the rear end almost like what people are doing with the 1:10 ascent
How did you get parts. My lhs and hobby town no redcat parts in stock. Told store owner must special order all redcat parts. Obtained first fms truck. Hobby shop had to order a hot racing part. Was told they are having problems with horizon. Horizon refuses to answer phone.
I just got one of those in the mail today. I’ve only changed the shock mount position and ran two batteries through it man it’s so capable.

$240 (not including servo) in upgrades on a $100 rtr 😂. I love this hobby!! And we didn't even upgrade wheels and tires yet! 🤣🤪
Rtrs are garbage, so much wasted money on mediocre electronics and parts.
