In my opinion he deserves the punishment because no matter what he was going through he had a mother and girlfriend who cared about him. He could ask for help. Theres people in way worse situations and his immediate solution was death? Nah.

That’s true, I think in that moment he didn’t realize the importance of people he loved and vice versa around him, it was really shocking to realize his mother was alive cuz they didn’t mention her throughout until he jumped.
But what caught my attention after watching the show again was that he didn’t think of his mum till his third life!!! Like seriously
