    Will the perf cuts damage the machine surface below- create a groove in the cutting strip? Do you recommend protecting the strip somehow?

    Will This be only of use for stickers or for art prints as well? Or what is your recommendation for Art Print cuts? I have SG3-300

    Do you know if the Roland Pro XR 640 can do a perf cut?

    Perforated cut lines not showing on versaworks. Have design files we have perfcut before but are not showing. Is this supported on the SP-540V?

      Hello,
      Yes the perfcut function is supported in the SP-540V, get in touch with your local Roland technical support team to look into the issue for you.

    My art work printed beautifully (cut lines and all) but did not cut anything? 1st time using my BN20 can you tell me what I did wrong? Can this job be cut after the fact as to not waste my vinyl?

    • @RolandDGEMEA
      @RolandDGEMEA  Před 5 lety

      Hi, if the cut lines were printed instead of cut it is likely that they were not setup correctly in your design file. You need to make sure you use a spot colour named CutContour for the cut information and export as .pdf or .eps. The cut line should show as a moving dashed red line in VersaWorks. Hope that helps!

    In terms of cutting for contour cut stickers perforated, what blade should I be using and how should it be setup? Complete newbie with an SP300V so would need detailed instructions if possible please?

    • @RolandDGEMEA
      @RolandDGEMEA  Před 6 lety

      Hi Paul,
      Depending on the material you should be able to use a standard blade, or if you prefer you could get a specific blade for when you do Perf Cutting.
      If you need detailed instructions please either get in touch with your Roland Dealer of give our tech team a call :)

  • @goaliegirlexperience1183

    What program are you using?

    Very nice explanation. Can these perforated cuts also be done with a Roland BN20?

      Yep!

      @@RolandDGEMEA is perforated like a rip off (entrance ticket style) or directly cut through...so called die cut..?

    • @RolandDGEMEA
      @RolandDGEMEA  Před 3 lety +1

      @@enionlinetv You set the parameters for the length of a full cut through all material and backing sheet, and then small tabs that are cut only through the substrate layer. So yes, in essence, it is like an entrance ticket style.

    What are the four spot colours in your swatch? CutContour and.... what do the others do?
    Great video, gonna try a perfect cut tomorrow 🤓🤞

      Hiya Mark, They are: CutContour, RDG_WHITE (white ink), RDG_GLOSS (clear ink for UV) and RDG_MetallicSilver (eco solvent metallic ink). You can add them from the VersaWorks programme files!

    С подложкой не обязательно прорезать.
