We are Jacob and Jenny, a husband and wife passionate about traveling the world. We started uploading in May, 2021 with a goal to see as much of the globe as possible. After visiting Costa Rica and French Polynesia, the time was right to quit our full-time jobs, so we left everything to travel and have loved every minute of it. Our goal is to make it to all seven continents and visit as many countries as possible. Follow along and be a part of the journey!

2:50 you need to microwave the hot-bar, but it looks like you are just eating it
Hahaha oops! It probably would have tasted a lot better then! That is so funny 😂
Anyone planning on going to korea. They sell bus cards on every convenience store. You can use that for bus, metro and taxi
That is a great tip!! I am sure it would be super useful!
2:44 You have to microwave the pork+chicken sausage for 2 minutes. Don't eat it raw.😂
Hahaha oh my gosh 😂 that is too funny Jacob ate it raw
There is no need to do so unless you are standing up. The flight attendant can use the terminal to check whether the person seated has a ticket or not. Therefore, there is no need to show a separate ticket on the train.
Haha darn! That definitely would have made it taste better! So funny we didn’t heat it up 😂
Have a nice trip ^^
Thanks so much :)
I was binging your Korea videos and just got a new one!
Haha that is awesome!! We hope you have been enjoying them :)
It's cool to use the bus and train!! Enjoy your trip!❤❤❤
We are happy you enjoyed it!! Thank you so much♥️
Loving busan! The weather there now looks sooo amazing in summer. Hopefully your travels go smooth even without cash!
Being on the beach in Busan has been amazing and the weather has been perfect!! Thanks so much for watching :)
The beach must be either Haeundae or Gwangalli. Both are very famous. For stay, Haeundae is better. For having fun, Gwanalli is better now. (Used to be Geaundae for both)
Thank you so much! Korea is wonderful :)
Convenience store hot dogs are much better if you open them a little and microwave them for a few minutes. There is an opening sign on the top of the hot dog
That is good to know!! We will try that next time. Thanks for your comments :)
Yes we are for sure ready for autumn to come and cool everything down! Thanks for watching friend :)
It has been wonderful! Thank you :)
It has been great!! Thanks so much for watching :)
BTW, Korean KTX train can never be a bullet train. The name of ”Bullet Train” is only for Japanese Shinkansen. Anyway, Have a great time there.
Oh wow good to know! Thank you for that information :)
Ktx is bullet train! ! The Shinkansen is no longer a high-speed train. Korea's technology is superior. The Japanese who posted the comments know nothing about the world. Korea's train technology is superior to that of Japan. Japan's technology has deteriorated
Welcome to Busan!!!!😊😊😊
Thank you so much 🎉🇰🇷
Busan south korea amazing I'm from Malaysia 🇲🇾👋
We can't wait to visit Malaysia soon!! Thanks for watching friend :)
enjoy trip here in Korea~^^
Wow thank you so much for the super thanks!! We will use it to buy some delicious street food in Busan! :) we appreciate your support!
The food has been amazing! Thanks for watching friend :)
Glad you enjoyed the bullet train ride.
It seems it is too short video this time.. that means I enjoyed this episode😂
I would like to see more soon~
It was a great ride! We are very glad you enjoyed it so much :) our next Busan video will come out on Wednesday :) thanks for watching!
Welcome to S. Korea! Have a good lucky.
Thank you very much :) it has been great!
Whoohoo bullet train!😊
It was so fun!! And fast lol!
this is very useful, thank you! just curious- could you let me know if you are you able to choose your seats (first come first serve seats) and do you feel motion sickness bc the train is going so fast? we are going to korea next year and thinking of possibly taking the train also. thank you for any tips/advice!!!
We did get a little motion sick when we face backwards! And you get your seat when you buy your ticket, you can usually pick it :) so we just picked seats facing forward! Have a great trip and let us know if you have any other questions!
@@JacobandJennyTravel thank you so much for the info, I really appreciate it!
Thank you friend :)
Haha, Jacob, 2: 57 We usually use a microwave for that food, which makes the food much better. Convenient stores have microwaves in the store.
Hahahah!! So funny we didn't heat it up 😂 thanks for letting us know!
I recommend you to go to Dadaepo beach where the locals hang out while in Busan.
Ooo that is a great tip! Thanks so much for the recommendation :)
@@JacobandJennyTravel There are some others who have posted on Dadaepo beach but my favorite one is by seoul walker. Check out the place before you go. It's in the far west so you can see a beautiful sunset. Hope you enjoy Korea while you guys are here.

Thank you very much! It is great :)
Korea has a really convenient public transportation system. You can pay for transportation anywhere in Korea with T-MONEY (purchased at a convenience store), and even transfers are possible with a one-time payment.
Thanks for the great information :)
@@JacobandJennyTravel Have a nice trip in Korea! If you go anywhere at 3:00 in the morning, you'll be safe, don't worry
As soon as it started, the KTX was translated, so it's not good because it came out as a Shinkansen, but I watched the video well!! I hope you have a happy trip^^
That is interesting!! Thank you for watching :)
I love traveling by train. We’ve utilized Amtrak back and forth from our home to NYC. Unfortunately they weren’t just for fun trips. It was mostly all medical. But I do like the train. Note: the fees for Amtrak have gotten very expensive. Not many perks unless you want to pay plenty. I’ve always heard the trains in Canada are very nice. Jacob, that hotdog thing looked awful. Oh my! 🤮Can’t wait to see more of Korea. Be safe. 💗
Well hopefully soon you guys can have some fun train travel! The trains in Canada are gorgeous, we haven’t done them yet because of price but hopefully one day! Sending prayers your way ♥️
@@JacobandJennyTravel thank you both. I will always take those prayers. Sending love your way. 💗😊
I would love to ride a bullet train! I’ve ridden the Ave in Spain, it’s def similar but I’m not sure how the speeds compare.
It is super fun and also weird looking out the window and feeling like you're watching everything in double speed!! That is interesting, we will have to ride that someday too!
Oh my god , your hotel is in old city of Busan which is very hilly and developed by refugees from north korea and all over the south koreanin Korean war(which is like 70 years ago) haha very interesting area! Busan is rapidly developed by refugees ;)
Hahaha we did have to walk up tons of hills to get to it 😂 but it is very pretty! Thanks for watching!
You are in Busan! I recommend you try Patbingsu(Red bean ice dessert) in such a hot day. Many famous Patbingsu shops in Busan. Must be great.
That sounds so delicious!! Busan is great! Thanks for watching :)
Dear Jacob/Jenny,,,, so sorry you guys had a difficult time on your first day in S. Korea..... only if you had to purchase a public traffic card worth about $50 then you will be able to use it anywhere in the whole city including subway and bus. Hope you had enjoyed your time in S. Korea!
Thank you for your kind words :) it’s been great since this day!!
Welcome to Busan! Just FYI you might have had people staring at you if you talked with normal voice for the whole trip since it's general rule(not that you should obey completely but) to not talk inside public transport. Other than that, please enjoy your journey! I'm a Busaner and if you're still here and confused with anything, ask for any help :)
That makes sense! Thanks so much for your offer :) we truly appreciate it! Busan is very pretty!

It was amazing!! Thanks so much for watching :)
Hi! I chance upon your video and I am just wondering if we can select the seats on KTX train to Busan for example? As I will be traveling to Korea next month and it seem that you cannot choose the seating, is it true? I am going with my husband and my son, 3 person.
I believe they assign them to you, but they should assign you to all sit together! Have a great trip :)
Haha oops! We will for sure do this next time! Thanks for the tip :)
Didn't u see any zombie in the train? 😆
Hahaha!! Not this time ;)
The best way to travel in Korea is to buy and use T-card, with which you can buy and refill at any subway station or convenience stores. You can use it as prepaid cash card anywhere, bus, subway, taxi, or buy things at convenience stores.
I also strongly recommend it. It also works in everywhere in Korea including Busan!
And it also has "FREE TRANSFER or TRANSFER DISCOUNT" function like bus to bus and bus to subway, vice versa!
That is great to know!! Thanks so much for the information :)
@@taylorryu1567👍
Oh man! I am not sure how to change the translation. I will look into it! Thank you :)
I was gonna recommend visiting Jeju but seems you already booked the tickets. It’s a really beautiful island worth visiting!
Yes the pictures of Jeju look amazing!! Such a gorgeous place. Thanks for watching :)
FYI, the maximum operating speed of KTX is about 190 mph and its speed record is about 262 mph.
That is good to know!! 262 mph would be crazy fast!
@@JacobandJennyTravelDid you see any zombies, if so, how did you survive the Train To Busan?
@@beatlesfan2884 hahaha!! No zombies this time ;)
🙏🙏🙏👍
☺️🇰🇷♥️
If you don't mind me asking, how old are you guys?
We are 25 :)
You can totally use cash for buses. There are just some buses that dont accept cash. Not all, some.
That is good to know! Thank you very much :)
Korea has 8751 mountains. Depends on the heights, some say 4440 mountains.
So many mountains!! They are gorgeous! :)
Thanks for watching!!
T-money can be handy when you traveling Korea
Yes we have heard it is super helpful! Thanks for the recommendation :)
Any reason stubbornly sticking to cash for buses? You are also paying full fare each time you transfer in this way
We honestly just prefer using credit or debit cards, but they weren’t accepted on the buses. We don’t post our videos in real time so unfortunately once we learned about the T money card it was too late haha! But thankfully using cash after that first time hasn’t been too big of an inconvenience!
@@JacobandJennyTravel yes credit card is way simpler. Who knows what the real reason is. could be due to transport company lobbying or don't wanna pay that interchange fee to visa/mc
Actually there was speed meter at the top of door. (just behind of your seat)
Oh that is so cool!! I wish we would have seen it haha!!

Hi sir
where are you from?
Hello! We are from Arizona 🌞
i remember back in the day when the bullet train was launched, used to hit more than 200 but, many property owners demand multiple train stops in between seoul n busan and now down to 170...that's shame
Oh wow that is so interesting! Does it make significantly more noise going 200 than 170??
@@JacobandJennyTravel too many train stops in between nowdays, lessen the speed, no point to call it a bullet train anymore
3:03 It should have been microwaved haha.
Hahaha so funny Jacob ate it cold!😂
welcome to korea J&J~~
Thank you so much! It's been great :)
4:45 Unlike Japan, Korea's railways are designed with standard gauge throughout, allowing multiple trains to run on one track. In metropolitan areas, conventional lines such as regular trains are used. It is slow because it is not a high-speed ship. However, the top speed is faster than the Shinkansen.
5:23 It may feel that way because Japan is a power distribution system. Because Korea's KTX is a power-intensive system, it gradually increases speed. In addition, the power-concentrated type has the advantage of good riding comfort. However, the new KTX, KTX eum, is rapidly increasing acceleration by introducing power distribution.
That is good to know!! Thank you for the information :)
You can pay cash on the bus. it's marginally more expensive when you pay cash. they also give you change through that little coin dispenser at the bottom of the kiosk where you pay your bills. t-money is more convenient though (you can buy at any convenience store). Most Koreans would not even remember that you can pay cash because we all have t-money integrated into our simcards and we just tap our phones (some may carry a t-money card old fashion way). when you're done with t-money, before you leave the country, you can cash out by buying stuff at any convenience store (snacks, drinks, alcohol etc).
That is great information! Thank you very much for sharing :)
@@JacobandJennyTravel many of the busses are now going cashless.! They won't accept physical cash.

Yeah that is so strange the translation calls is Shinkansen! We don’t know why it does that. But we are so glad you enjoyed the video :)

The train we were on quite a few people were talking :) but of course we try to be as quiet and respectful as possible! Thanks for watching!
I'm surprised there was no Zombies on the train
Hahaha that would have made an interesting vlog ;)
Hey I'm taking this train tomorrow, sadly couldn't see on your vid whether there's any room for large luggage? Mine is big and really heavy and I'm a weak pathetic blonde girl, so there's no way I'm gonna get it up where you put your small bags ... kinda nervous about just leaving my luggage in a separate place as well where I can't directly see it
Some people did put suitcases up there but there weren't super huge ones! There is space in between cars for luggage! I hope that helps :) I am sure someone would help you put it above the seat too!
@@JacobandJennyTravel Ah ok, thanks for info!

Normally, when you ask, "Where are you from?" ... Answer "i'm from South Korea/ Spain/ France~etc".
But what's unusual is that only Americans give different answers (you know...)
If you answer "i'm from usa or America" among Americans
Is that rude? Or is it taken tacky?
I'm asking because I'm curious. Could you give me a detailed answer...
Most the time when Americans are in other countries we will say we are from the United States. But when talking to other Americans, we say what state we are from (like California, Utah, etc) Hope that helps :)
I remember when I was in elementary school in Korea, I put $10 into the cash machine as I was getting on a bus, and the bus driver got so mad at me because he could not give me change with just coins 😂 The bus driver told me to call him later so that he could send the change to my parents, but I got scared and never let my parents know LOL Usually, if you pay $2, then the bus driver will give you change. But if you pay $5 or $10, they'll have to give you more than 2 dollars of coins for change. Then, they might not have enough coins for other customers when they need to give change.
Hahaha that is a great story!! It is good to know it happens more often than we thought and it wasn't just us lol!!
Jan. 2023 Seoul Buses recently started cashless bus system.
Yes we are learning that! Haha! Thanks for watching :)

google maps doesn't really work properly in south korea. it's cause of some stupid korean law. hopefully one day it works as well as japan or hong kong.
Yes we are learning that! Thank you for the information :)
Yeah I’m not sure why it translated to Shinkansen. That is so strange. Thanks for pointing this out to us!!
in terms of train ticket, most of Korean knows where to buy ticket. train is operated by government and there's no fee for reservation. Sadly, Google however, allows hijackers to steal the keyword and redirect any innocent victim to fee charging middleman. For example, there's only 1 authentic statue of liberty tour boat but there are many middleman you can find from search. Ninjaxxx is surely such website. It's Google's responsibility to return good quality result but it's private company paying billions to executives. Shame on Google.
Wow that is crazy and so frustrating! Hopefully people can figure out how to go around that. Thanks for the information!
Unfortunately all products are copies from Japan
Haha! I guess most ideas are just people copying other people!! Thanks for watching friend :)

Many people have the idea Tokyo is mountainous because of iconic mount Fuji but it's literally flat far as eye can see lol
Hahaha that is funny!! The area around Fuji had beautiful mountains but other than that it did seem very flat!
