Much as I adored Bill Cullen, this show made a huge mistake in having him take over after Jack's death, when Jack himself had hand picked Jim to be his successor. Jim also hosted a sensational game show The Big Showdown on ABC Daytime around 1974-75 and it's unreal that it only lasted one season.
15:57 Look up that contestant who said while being introduced that he wants to further his movie production career, he was doing "key grip" work for some major motion pictures well in to the 2000s.
Bill Cullen was a great replacement but I would've picked Peck since that's what Barry wanted. Although if I did then that means Hot Potato might;ve been Cullen's final hosting job so who knows. But never mind that. What I want to know is why didn't Enright choose Peck in the first place?
I strongly agree. Jim Peck would have been the new host if Jack Barry was still alive and decided to retire on the opening show of the eighth season. But Barry passed away in May 1984, leaving control of the company to his long-time partner Dan Enright. Enright overruled his partner and instead hired Bill Cullen as host. Cullen, to me, moved the shoe a lot slower and that contributed to the show's downfall and cancellation in 1986.
Dale Pidcoe DuBoistown, Pa. Will CZcams show me episode 3421 of the classic Sesame Street with Gabi,Tarah and birthday boy Mr. Snuffleupagus announcing the sponsors of the letter B and the #19 as it originally aired on P.B.S. on Monday Christmas Day 1995 on scene #7? I hope they have it on CZcams at 7:04A.M. this Saturday!🥱🇬🇦

Suzanne reminds me of Shelley Hack. Anybody else think so?
She looks like Tiffany Wells from "Charlie's Angels"

Jim went on to do Divorce Court as the announcer for several years, so at least he got some other work.
That rotten Devil popped up.

Thank Dan Enright, Jack Barry didn't put his replacement in writing, so Dan tapped Bill Cullen who came off Barry and Enright's HOT POTATO.

Afterwards, he hosted a court drama show called "Divorce Court". It happened to be his last show hosted.
