- Yvonne Orji’s continuous rise in Hollywood isn’t a shock to many. The Nigerian-American star continues to raise the bar, as seen in her role in “Insecure”, the hit HBO television series. Born in Nigeria before migrating to the United States, Yvonne’s exceptional growth and success was hugely celebrated when she got nominated for a Primetime Emmy Awards in the 'Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series' category for her role as ‘Molly’ in the Issa Rae show.
With her hilariously funny HBO comedy special; "Yvonne Orji: Momma I Made It!" and a new book under her belt, "Bamboozled by Jesus: How God Tricked Me Into the Life of My Dreams", Yvonne Orji means business and she's all about it.
Enjoy our 10th episode celebrating International Women’s Day, as Ebuka sits down with Ms. Orji to discuss her life, career and all things in between.

I love the switch between her yankee accent and her Nigerian accent 🤣🤣
"Different wars have different strategies, don't restrict yourself to JUST ONE". "Do it TREMBLING but TRUSTING". This is really amazing. Thank you Yvonne.
That found a place in me
The interview I didn't know I needed 🥺 I kept snapping fingers cos whaaattt 🙌🏽
When she talked about being giving the option of failing, that hit hard! This was so real, I love Yvonne even more. God bless you, Amen 🤍🤍
"She can still slap me today!" Hilarious! Don't mess with African parents
I’m a huge fan of Yvonne! And though I’am not Nigerian (at least I don’t know that for sure lol) she made me realize that I too never had the space to fail. Every since I was young, I was rewarded for my grades and so as an adult who doesn’t have it together all the time. I’m learning how to navigate feelings towards myself around not always getting things right all the time. I’am allowed not to know things. I’am allowed to have to sit and decide later. I don’t always have to be “ready”. 💡
I love the fact that she doesn't hide her Christian beliefs. Fly higher sister.
Ebuka was born to do this, Brilliant interview concept
Ahh Yvonne keep shining this light of Christ, life isn’t about suffering, follow the leading of the spirit 😇😇😇😇
I love that she is herself, speaks igbo fluently and I love that she loves God. Well done Anulika.
What a journey! I felt quite sad listening to Yvonne's experiences.... May God continue to bless her...🙏🏽🙌🏽💝
My God , her thought process is so beautiful 😍
Ebuka is not getting the free opportunity to ask those questions 😂😂😂😂
I love the part where she said "our grief is performative" This is so truee
Watching Yvonne makes me love her more, I love how Nigerian and original she is, she’s honest and very direct. I love you Yvonne, this was a great interview and I enjoyed listened to you speak, Ebuka well done 👍
This lady is naturally funny. See how she made the interview easy for Ebuka.
Molly on the show 😂.... Yvonne orji😘
“How can be successful playing the trumpet”
By GRACE, not gra-gra!
God just wanted me to be trembling but trusting... I needed this 🙌.. she's so filled with wisdom
Love love love this. Can't wait for part 2
Wow, Yvonne Orji legit has the Nigerian accent... Like, I thought she was born in the States...
I love Yvonne so much
Great interview! Greetings from LA.
i love their energy.
I just love your simplicity 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I enjoyed this so much, and I must say, asides the fun part of it all, there were so many things to learn from all she shared. Now I can't wait for the part 2

Nahhh, this interview was goooooooooood.
Omg!! Went to Abuloma too🤓
Great interview
I love this episode and I agreee with almost everything going on. I just want Ma. Yvonne to differentiate that most of what she’s explains could be a specific family dynamic and not the collective nigerian experience.
Love you Yvonne
Yvonne 🦋🎯…Keep Going and thank you for sharing!! 🇳🇬
Yvonne when I hear you speak, I am in Awww…the similarities are amazing ( moral similarities lol)…thank you again for sharing!

Yvonne is amazing.
Great interview. Am a fan
she is so deep!
When is part 2 coming??? 🙏
Yvonne is a natural comedian😀
True talk therapy is the best oo
for a seasoned host Ebuka asks some weird questions makes me roll my eyes
Yvonne was great she is such as an intelligent & cool person
Exactly. Asking her if bullying had a positive effect on her. That's just implying that bullying has its positive aspects. That question shouldn't have been asked. I literally rolled my eyes.
Yvonnnnnneee
Her Nigerian accent is legit. I was surprised
❤❤❤
Omo I can imagine the embarrassment with the slap
Where's part 2 ohhhh
WHERE IS PART 2??
Ebuka is this a whispering interview?
