  • Yvonne Orji’s continuous rise in Hollywood isn’t a shock to many. The Nigerian-American star continues to raise the bar, as seen in her role in “Insecure”, the hit HBO television series. Born in Nigeria before migrating to the United States, Yvonne’s exceptional growth and success was hugely celebrated when she got nominated for a Primetime Emmy Awards in the 'Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series' category for her role as ‘Molly’ in the Issa Rae show.
With her hilariously funny HBO comedy special; "Yvonne Orji: Momma I Made It!" and a new book under her belt, "Bamboozled by Jesus: How God Tricked Me Into the Life of My Dreams", Yvonne Orji means business and she's all about it.
Enjoy our 10th episode celebrating International Women’s Day, as Ebuka sits down with Ms. Orji to discuss her life, career and all things in between.

I’m a huge fan of Yvonne! And though I’am not Nigerian (at least I don’t know that for sure lol) she made me realize that I too never had the space to fail. Every since I was young, I was rewarded for my grades and so as an adult who doesn’t have it together all the time. I’m learning how to navigate feelings towards myself around not always getting things right all the time. I’am allowed not to know things. I’am allowed to have to sit and decide later. I don’t always have to be “ready”. 💡
