JURASSIC WORLD follows the same outline as the previous Jurassic movies - humans decide recreating dinosaurs would be fun, something goes wrong with the system designed to imprison them, and a cool amusement park turns into a horrific monster-filled island. But what if it wasn’t so simple? What if the dinosaur fiasco in Jurassic World wasn’t an accident? Strap in, Loyal Theorists. In this episode, I will prove that the dinosaurs didn’t escape from Jurassic World. They were set free!

while yes they would likely be racking in millions by the minute but with 12 years and I think I remember only 25 species it could make sense that people would get bored especially in this day and age

The issue with her outrunning the T-Rex isn't whether she could outrun a real one. The problem is that this particular, fictional T-Rex was specifically clocked at over 30mph.
The solution really is the fact that it's not really chasing her to begin with. It's really following the flare, which it's been trained to do. She's guiding it.

Disney world is a entertainment theme park... There rollor coasters parades fireworks, etc. Jurastic world is a zoo... Like the girl said in the movie" people don't care about dinosaurs anymore..." She's not being literal you dumb shit. Obviously when they first started coming out with dinosaurs everyone would be losing their shit trying to get a chance to see them paying whatever crazy fees there were for the park.. then as time goes on... Jurastic world doesn't grab the public like it used to anymore. It would be very expensive talking at least a $10k vacation visit for a family of 4. So only upper middle class and the rich could afford to visit. Then you factor in that even those people would only go once or if they actually like the park that much every 3-5 years.. cuz once you actually seen dinosaur once then that's it it is less cool the second then less cool the third.... Then the trip doesn't even seem worth it when you could just watch CZcams videos on them for free... That's why the park would start losing money over time and that's why the girl would say hthat people aren't interested in dinosaurs anymore

Jurassic World has only been opened since 2005. Yeah Dinosaurs had existed since the 90's, but hardly anyone ever knew about them or believed it because there was little proof. The San Diego incident proved there was at least a T-Rex, but since it was 1997 and no smart phone I doubt there is really much footage of the T-rex. So basically only from 2005 and onward did the public really see dinosaurs.

Its science fiction, you dolt. Science fiction is meant to exaggerate and examine social issues. Jurassic World is very much satiric. And the fact people ignore this to troll the film as "lolz stupid" is telling most people are just wannabe intellectuals in the name of looking cool.
The entire theme of the film is complacency. The film explains it outright, the price of park operations is high as fuck....kinda like REAL theme parks. And what do theme parks always do? Add new attractions to boost interest.
JW is just an exaggerated reflection of societies disinterest and complacency.

My biggest question wasn’t how the Indominus Rex escaped, but why didn’t they use the four surrounding islands like Isla Sorna to conduct dinosaur experiments _away_ from the general public? That way, if a failed experiment runs loose, it’s not going to attack civilians or other dinosaurs, and if the dinosaur is proven to not be a liability, it can be tranquillised and brought over to the main facility in Isla Nublar. It’s like having a bomb-testing facility right next to a shopping centre, it’s an accident waiting to happen!

    • @beccamoore2402

They were willing to set free highly dangerous and somewhat intelligent creatures loose just for the purpose of a field test...but what exactly "was" the field test? They seem to want to use these creatures for war/defense purposes. Perhaps, part of their field test was involving civilians, to see how effective they would be in a real world setting, instead of a deserted island/area. That or, they involved the park patrons as a measure to guarantee that they would get to do their field test. A "hey, civilians could be in danger, let's send in soldiers to fight it ASAP", of course to test out the I. Rex's abilities, and making them use non-lethal weapons to insure the asset wasn't damaged/killed. After that, "people are still in danger, let's send out dinos to fight it" to field test the use of raptors and how well they would respond to orders.

Supposedly (or allegedly) the camo was an unavoidable side effect of putting in cuttlefish, to help it grow at the needed rate. And if the I-Rex felt shy during showtime, a little snack dropped in the pen would solve that - and make for quite the demonstration as the crowd witnesses a massive predator appear out of seemingly nowhere.

I kept this theory in mind as I watched them and I gotta say even though Wu turned out to be a continuing bad guy, MatPat was wrong on one thing. The I-Rex never used both abilities at the same time. She only used the body temperature altering in the enclosure which was big enough that if she laid low she could avoid the visual cameras. Then only used the Camouflage after she escaped.

I find it really cool how many things are in the Indominus. There is Therizinosaurus in there which gives the Indominus those long claws, there is some Carnotaurus which gives it those forehead horns, and there is indeed human DNA, which gives it (you guessed it) increased intelligence. There’s a lot more but those three are the most prominent.

little problem here: Wu was just as surprised as everyone else that the Indominus was using it's abilities.
so instead of being behind it's escape, which makes no financial sense, he could have been simply saying the first thing that came to mind, after all, that particular animal has never existed before, they only have so much information to go on to determine it's abilities.
on the financial side of things, shutting down the park is a bad move for him.
given that his secret lab is also there, and that he was working, secretly, for Ingen his best option is to keep that park open for as long as possible, as a cover for his other work, until the park did shut down and he could move himself to an Ingen lab, with all of his research covertly.
the unplanned nature of the escape, and the fact that there was such a rush to get all his research out, shows he was not behind it, they didn't even get it all, which would have put him back a considerable deal.

It was even stated during the pre-release marketing that people in the Jurassic World universe were getting bored with dinosaurs, and Wu says in the film that the higher-ups at JW kept asking for bigger dinosaurs with more teeth.
Most people just missed it in all the action. More time spent on that, and less time on the stupid romance/family drama, and the film would have been better received.

Very fun alternative: Treefrog temperature color and cuttlefish camouflage color just happen to overlap in just the right way. Indominus has been using her colorchanging for years, undetected (hence the heat cam, she's just been thought to be "real good at hiding" before the movies plot) and this is the first time the idiot humans noticed (her heat signature has to be manually checked, from what I remember, meaning if she did this during times of boredom (like, say, when humans aren't there for her to stare at or receive food from) this might be precisely during the times when humans happen to not care about her (matchingly, Velociraptor might have been nocturnal, and provided her brains, so it would make sense for her to mimic said behaviour, meaning she'd be less active during the day).
...Also how tf do the keepers clean her exhibit? There doesn't seem to be any sort of divider feature or secondary pen?

However, later on in the film, Vic Hoskins realises that using Owen gradys research, they could train the same animal a fraction of the size ( Hoskins points this out before being eaten by delta ). So therefore in Jurassic world fallen kingdom, Henry Wu sticks with his ‘deal’ and creates the indoraptor which they belive can be trained due to Owens findings. Blah blah blah dinosaurs now live with everyone.

Actually Gametheory, in the movie it shows that when there is a flare the trex gets fed so it is probably trained to follow flares believing that he/she will be led to some food (so the trex was following not chasing Claire)

The T. rex is attracted to flares from the very first movie, in JW they use them to lure her to the goat to ensure the feeding show
If she could tell appart between a keeper and dinner, the keeper wouldn't be possitioned way above her reach

In the first one that scientist I always forget the name of throws the flare in the opposote direction and the rex takes no notice in where it went. It sparks their attention and they associate them with food sure but humans are still food to them. And the fact they are fed goats..He was totally chasing her, not following😂

You forgot one thing about the line about cuttlefish DNA, the part about growth rate, Henry says cuttlefish genes were added to help her withstand an execrated growth rate which could explain increased brain growth. In turn explaining its intellect. Or maybe you have a totally good reason for not talking about this (ie video length) or maybe I just spotted something cool that you missed, either way I’m here to help contribute to the theorist community. :)

The fact is that, regardless of how smart the indominus is, it couldn't possibly know that changing its body temperature could help it escape except through trial and error. Some sort of sense that allows it to know if an object has infrared vision would help it, but pure intelligence can only get it so far.

Leif Sundblad but it's an if any with no iteration with anything out of its cage, not only would getting the right temp be the luckily guess ever. But even saying that you could they had a track on her and there were multiple enterences. Why would it think that it could escape via that method

no one was monitoring the cameras when they left the control center and went into the paddock, the creature could’ve easily switched from regulating it’s body heat to camouflage once everyone went out into the paddock and it would’ve known that everyone was out because it could see thermal radiation, my guess? It was hiding from the cameras when Clair and everyone was up into the control center, it watched Clair leave and then watched Owen and the others enter into the paddock and once everyone was vacant from the control center it switched to using camouflage

This theory makes a lot of sense. But what gets me is the “not impressed by a dinosaur anymore” in the movie. That quote itself should be a whole theory. If people are still entertained by cat videos and fish in Aquariums then dinosaurs are no exception. :O
