Ah would you look at that! It’s a year late audition! Think there still might be a chance for me?
If you guys don’t remember, years back I created a sort of concept audition for the roleplay “The Demigod Trials”, which I was a co-judge for at the time. The co-judges and I posed the question of what characters we would come up with if we were contestants, and I ended up turning that into a video since the idea intrigued me enough to do something with it. Well this new roleplay Ruined King comes around, but with it’s release I had already committed to no longer entering RPs as a contestant. However, I had come up with a character idea and I got so inspired that I decided to revisit that fake audition thing I did all those years ago and do it one more time!
So why wasn’t this an official audition? A lot of reasons, but mainly is just that I don’t have the time to devote myself as a contestant anymore. It’s a lot of work and between college and my job, plus any other things I want to partake in, it’s just too hard. But this story, and also this concept that I had for it, really stuck with me and it was a shame if I let it all go to waste. I really experimented with this video too! I wanted to try something different in a lot of areas. Coloring and cinematography, yes, but also in showing magic! Because Morgana’s magic is the embodiment of shadows and literal darkness, I wanted to do what I could to showcase that and I’m REALLY proud of the result!
I wish I was able to do more with this character. I often find that older characters are never explored in RPs, especially older women. Which I understand, we don’t have the footage to really support that writing choice. But with the few choices we do have, I think it’s a missed opportunity! So I really liked getting to tackle that. She ended up being one of the most fascinating characters I’ve written, and maybe one day I’ll do something more with her. Who knows! Also this video made me obsess with using Anna, she has SUCH a good variety expressions I’m upset it took me this long to use her!
ALSO SPOT THE CAMEOS!!! I did my absolute best to put in so many characters. Obviously I focused on the contestants that got in, but I wanted to throw in a couple of the characters who didn’t get in as well! Here’s to all of my EXTREMELY talented friends that are apart of this roleplay! Wishing those who remain for the last two rounds all my luck!

-Morgana has little control over her magic
-Atticus is 18
-Atticus's dream, if I didn't make that clear, is to join the royal gaurd. Morgana hasn't made as much effort as she maybe should've in dissuading him from doing so, considering her viewpoints on Elias. She has a bit of a survivalist mindset that encourages her to stay quiet about her true feelings regarding most things.
-Atticus’s father, Morgana’s late husband, is Alaric Dugmore (played by Charming). The story goes that, shortly after Atticus was born, Alaric was killed by a rouge ferrus. But history is written by the winners, and the loser was most certainly Morgana.
- Morgana was seeing Grimar before Alaric. Her and Alaric were forced into an arranged marriage
-For the record I casted Charming as Alaric BEFORE you lot decided to make him the recurring NPC faceclaim of the RP AND I DIDNT WANNA CHANGE IT BECAUSE IM STUBBORN
-Morgana was expecting the attendants, and also the leaders of the rebellion, to be closer to her age. Hence her surprise when she notices most people there are a lot younger than her
Normally I would’ve never shown this much backstory in an audition. Keep my cards close and all that. BUT because this isn’t a real audition and I have no idea if I’ll edit with this character again, I wanted to show you guys at least a little bit of what I was going for!

This is absolutely fantastic Meg! This character is so creative! You often don't see fully adult characters as contestants. I love her story and all the effects you pulled off with her magic. I loved your ending, and music I thought was such a great choice. As always your videos are spectacular! Also i saw my baby girl at the end!
